If you can't read the ecg yourself, then you need to get it analyzed to make sure the Flec is not causing an unwanted arrythmia. What is your heart rate and how do you feel?

I think that's a good plan and i'm sure the EKG will be helpful to your cardio. FWIW I had a rough first 10 days on Flec, but then things calmed down and pretty much kept me a normal rhythm for a year. So hopefully your cardio will let you go ahead and give it a decent trial.

Mine went wider than usual last Monday when I began flecainide, so I stopped and I am currently awaiting my GP's advice.

When an ECG "goes all over the place", it's most often I would think - from my own experience - what is called electrical "noise". This is from the contact between the fingertips and the device being less than perfect (hence the use of ECG sticky patches in hospitals and on one home device).

Could you perhaps post a copy of the strip?

Posting the strip is easy if you save it and then take a "screenshot" using your phones for tablets side buttons. This will then save it as a photo, which can be easily attached to a post here.

That’s good advice but, still, posting them would be interesting.

Thank you for your post, it may take some time for your body to adjust to the change to the medication, before it can take effect, if you would like further information regarding Flecainide, you may be interested in downloading our information sheet from the AF Association resources website: api.heartrhythmalliance.org...
