I have never had any known problems with any of my numerous jabs but am currently mulling over whether to go ahead or not with this one. I have till June to decide so no hurry but do wonder if after eight (no not the chocolates but yes please) we really need to bother. The last time I had covid was a bit of a non event.

I suspect I’ve had COVID a couple more times than the first but didn’t have symptoms typical enough to warrant a test.

Bob I certainly agree with you. Missed last Spring one and just waited for the Autumn one with the flu as well. Like you my Covid episodes were just like having a heavy cold for two days

This was asked a day ago, so if you scroll down you should find what I hope is an interesting discussion - I haven’t read it because I haven’t had a problem yet and I’m vulnerable (AF, asthma, leaky valve) so I’ll have it. At 79 too old to worry about long term effects.

i had five hours of palpitations after the last Covid jab. I am not having another one!

I'm immunocompromised and have asthma, so I've had all the jabs since they started. I have just booked my Spring one. I can't recall if they've ever triggered my AF or not- I'm sure I would have noticed if they had.

I didn't have AF but had bad arrhythmia; first for 3 weeks, second bout for 5 day s. Cardiologist suspected the booster. I won't be having another although I am housebound and my risk is much lower. It doesn't stop someone bringing it into the house. You need to weigh up your own risk and make yoru own decision. Everyone's different.

Warning, if you have had COVID fairly recently skip the jab or delay it because you get a more extreme reaction from it - I was told this when I had my first one. I think 6 weeks was mentioned.

I am registered in the Canadian Vacine Injury program and the Doctor that is doing my report has indicated AFIB has been one of the more common risks of the vaccine along with myocardia etc.

I will not be getting any other Covid vaccines as so much info is being released, researched on the negative impacts of this very new vaccine.

Also they are constantly behind in which variant to boost for. I have had Covid twice now.

Once was extremely mild and once was extremely severe. I will take my chances with all then new info coming out . I don’t believe it’s as deadly as the Delta version was and that for me there is no panic need to vax for a flu/cold. This is even after having lost a close friend to Delta .

I am double vaccinated.

This is my personal perspective

My experience with mRNA vaccine last year was one week later I noticed massively large swollen supraclavicular lymph nodes along with even larger lymph nodes all the way up my neck. I went to my doctor for checking (biopsy) and thankfully they were benign (supraclavicular can also indicated tumour). My immune system on this form of shot went on overdrive. Doctor said getting lymph node reactions is not cause for alarm and will resolve and disappear in a month. My large nodes especially the supraclavicular stayed the same for over 10 months until they slowly started coming down. Interesting I had the flu vaccine (non-mRNA) a couple months ago... no problem. When I get my vaccine in future it's the non-mRNA for me.

All vaccines in future will be Mrna type govts have put in 100s of millions to build plants in uk s africa usa and europe. Look it up not hard to find. It is not a vaccine in the true sense it is gene therapy as admitted by both big companies when questioned. It promotes the manufacture of the spike protein in all organs in the body hence the many injuries. There seems to be no stop switch to the production acc to researchers telling the truth. They are unable to get answers from manufacturers or governments. Get unblinkered people .

I’m immune supressed and the MRNA vaccines sent my immune system into overdrive causing a flare which took some 3 weeks to resolve. I had 6 and had reactions after every one. Had COVID at least 3 times (known) and once suspected. I was very ill the second time however the last couple of times I hardly noticed it. For me the risks outweigh any benefits so no more for me!

my travel insurance stipulates that if advised by the nhs system to have a booster I must have it otherwise I won’t be covered. X

I would look at changing your insurance company. I certainly will not be taking any more vaccinations after suffering AF, my insurance premium has increased but no condtions on the insurance.

Yes! I have reacted every time and been in hospital 3 times. All linked to the jab and covid giving me afib. The last covid i had, tested positive, i did not get any afib. So i am staying away!

I suffered AF after my booster last year. I have had cardio version yo restore back to sinus rythm. I certainly will not be having any more vaccinations inclusing Flu.

The Covid vaccine definitely caused my AFib. I was completely well, fit and healthy until then. Led to heart failure and being hospitalised, initially in ICU, for two weeks. Haven’t had and won’t be having any boosters.

What a nightmare, I wish people were informed of the risks.

I know. It was that rushed and panicked feeling that was out there at the time that made many of us ignore the lack of thorough information, research or testing.

No, and will continue to have every vax offered. A younger, totally healthy friend (no Afib and fully vaxed) had covid a few weeks ago and was very very ill, ended being hospitalised. I had covid in late 2022, fully vaxed, it was the pits, and I dread to think how I'd (or the friend I mentioned) might have fared with no/low antibodies. I recently had first shingles, no Afib response to that either, I'll be going for second dose of that soon - another friend had shingles years ago, said it's one of the worst pains ever, and still suffers. Jab me with every syringe going, thanks! But that's my personal choice - like all such decisions in life, every one of us has to go with our lived experience, and/or weigh up the data from others' lived experiences.

Try the interviews of Dr John Campbell and dr David Grimes on Vit D levels in the first 26 medics to die with early covid.

I was fine after my first shingles jab in Jan but the second jab was a different matter. It was 11 days ago and it gave me AF which I still have. This is the longest af since my ablation 2020. I have had shingles , it’s awful. When this shingles jab runs out in 6 years I’ll have to think hard whether to have another, rock and a hard place

I was in AF at the time that I had my first two covid jabs, but they didn't make it any worse. However, there are two cardiologists at the private clinic I attend (I see either of them) and they also work in the state health system. Last October I was asked if I had received the latest covid booster, it would have been the second booster for me, but I'd already decided not to have any more. I was told that they were advising all their private patients not to have any further boosters because the jab was causing too many problems for cardiac patients. I tested positive for covid last year some time after having had the booster and was extremely ill. So definitely no more jabs for me.

I had heart issues after second Pfizer - told to tolerate it if a could - lasted weeks - sent for echo and tropin blood test after 6 weeks despite things improving a bit - these came back normal but Gp suggested I avoid the mRNA vaccines - chose Novavax for third - haven’t had one since and to be honest I’m hesitant- I do wear masks when I can’t socialise outside (I’m in Australia so that’s probably easier here) rarely see others doing the same anymore so sometimes catch myself having forgotten to put it on - we can only do our best

I have had all the vaccinations so far and have had no problems with any of them. Due to respiratory problems I would always have them when offered.

I will not be having any more Covid 19 boosters. As a scientist, I cannot prove it but I believe the last one resulted in an Aortic valve replacement and Mitral repair out of the blue which left me with AF and Flutter. It has to be an individual choice

Read a lot and understand:

there were different batches of what was injected

it doesn't prevent you from catching a virus

it affects some and makes them more likely to catch a virus

it has way too high and serious side effects compared to pre- C injections

Genetic therapy not vaccine . Unblinker yourselves people. Today in uk parliament 2pm is a debate on excess deaths and jnjuries led by mp mr Bridgen it will be on the parliament channel. A good start for anyone concerned about the abuse of humanity .

Hi

Because these later jabs hold the key to keep you safe from new variants it's truly worth to be covered.

I'm coming up to 7th jab.

Also, hopefully I'm OK to travel to JAPAN in October, first international trip from the Stroke with Rapid and Persistent AF and then diagnosis of Papillary Thyroid Cancer.

I get a message from the hospital.

I was recalled on neck scan 4th year unfortunately. I'm having a PET/CT scan at my base hospital.

Then the surgeon says biopsy and surgery.

Can I get that done before JAPAN.

The surgeon changed the nuclear Scan because I was fearful of a TSH way high and on a Low Iodine Diet, stripping me of all my iodine before the RA Iodine drink, then another 2 days before resuming my daily thyroxine and normal diet.

Has anyone had a PET/CT Scan? I had the CT SCAN with dye back on 26 February.

How was it?

Having not had Covid to my awareness or testing...I had the vaccines when offered. This resulted in my visits to A and E twice, virtually unable to breathe. I now have asthma to add to the A F, which remains no problem to me , and outside my awareness if not in a test. I add daily inhaler doses to prevent reoccurance to the anticoagulants. This is not a source of delight to me.
