I have read many posts on here where this has happened.. I would try to be seen by your doctor ASAP .. that doesn’t mean anything sinister is happening but There are many heart related reactions being reported. It’s better safe than sorry.
I'm sorry to read this FG. I was ok but we are different. I hope the matter resolves itself. What med's are you on ? Would a PIP help I wonder (depending on what med's you are on of course).

I wonder, why should all the worlds population be vacced when the survival rate of Covid is 99,8%. Additionally, why should people be vacced at all, when after receiving the vacc they still can get ill and transfer the "virus"? Of course, everyone is right to decide for himself...

Many programmes are on-going re safer vaccines & the future to take a pill just like we take antibiotics. 🤞🙏 normal by Spring 2022!

Yep.....and even sadder to everyone not having these in their bathroom cabinet is the media rubbishing independent highly qualified front line doctors from every populated continent with no financial interest promoting these and other alternatives, ensures we never trust 'the News' again! I haven't listened yet but I believe an example is on the Today programme this morning before 7am.
One of the most egregious examples of this has been the dissing over the last few weeks of Ivermectin as a "horse and cow dewormer". Yes it is used for this but has been used as an antiparasitic for over 30 years in humans for serious things like river blindness. It's safety profile in the dosages for humans is far better than that of Paracetamol that we are encouraged to take at the drop of a hat. The stats from India showing the difference in the evolution of the pandemic between states that have used Ivermectin and those who have banned it are pretty conclusive. Also there is epidemiological data from Africa showing that parts of Africa that use Ivermectin prophylaxis against parasites have far lower incidence of covid than North and South Africa where it is not used widely. But we ain't never going to read about this in most of the media - especially those like the Guardian that get money from Gates.

Yes I have one in me too . I did not have to be vaccinated before I went in for my hip op a fortnight ago. Indeed if I hadn't been it would have guaranteed me the room to myself that I requested when I reserved my room. But I thought it would be belt and braces as I would be more exposed to the chance of catching covid in a clinic in a large town . But I will definitely not be getting any boosters and I have got myself a supply of Ivermectin just in case. I have had a couple of afib attacks since getting jabbed and 2 in six weeks is more than normal for me . But my op has not gone smoothly so I am not inclined to blame the vaccination. Hope yours resolves soon.

We get BBC website news with no problems. It keeps saying 404 error. I am not dismissing it. I would like to read it but would hope it is a different kettle of fish to what I have already read on the BBC website. Is it a documentary - we can't always get those.

Finally found the article you referred to . I read the original paper by the data detectives the BBC refers to. It was very interesting and indeed does throw doubt on the efficacy of the Ivermectin studies. I was aware of the problems with the Elgazzar study already. However I would like to raise a point that came out very clearly in the Nature Medicine article. The authors call for use of the individual raw patient data in assessing efficacy of drugs for covid treatment. They make it perfectly clear that this is contrary to current and past practice in RCTs - the drug companies will not release the raw data for their drug trials (claiming commercial and intellectual property ) unless forced to do so by the courts . This often then leads to convictions for scientific fraud . It seems that Ivermectin has been judged and investigated to a standard not used for other products. This does not nullify their findings with regards to the faulty RCTs but leads one to suspect double standards are at play. For instance the anti viral Remdesivir was found to be not only ineffective but nephrotoxic in some patients and was not recommended by the WHO for use in covid treatment . Nevertheless a few days before the WHO sponsored study reported this a billion pounds worth of Remdesivir was purchased by the European Commission and is being used in hospitals. Ivermectin has a very good safety profile and is cheap as chips . Is it more or less effective than Remdesivir? Although RCTs are considered the gold standard for drug evaluation I think that epidemiological evidence of the evolution of the pandemic in countries where there has and has not been use of Ivermectin should not be ignored. Of course you cannot compare India or Mexico with Germany or Canada but you can compare the states within those countries that have chosen to use Ivermectin and those who have not and you can look at places like Slovakia and the Czech Republic and compare them with other European countries. Finally given the safety profile of Ivermectin is better than that for Paracetamol and that the Nobel prize winning discoverer of it insists it has anti viral properties where would the harm have been in telling people who got covid to stay at home and take Ivermectin rather than stay at home and take Paracetamol which certainly does not have anti viral properties and actually is counterproductive as lowering temperature encourages virus reproduction? As far as the " first do no harm" rule in medicine goes I think the former would be more in line .
I had an AF bout after my second jab. However it soon settled and all is back to normal. Hopefully yours will too.

The same thing happened to me four days after the vaccine. My primary care doctor said it was definitely caused by the shot. He is totally convinced the Covid vaccines are bad. Says it’s all political BS. I believe him. I won’t be getting another one.

There is NO evidence that all those deaths were from covid. I live in the USA. Don't believe everything you hear reported. Not all data is public knowledge. You do understand there is a difference between dying from covid and with covid? People who died with covid had other health problems they died from. So it wasn't covid that they died from. There have been several reports that the number of people who have died from covid in the USA has been over reported. But I'm sorry if you haven't seen those reports.

Please moderators don’t let an anti vax thread get out of control. We have been here before, it is not pretty, it is ill advised and usually misinformed. All interventions and illnesses seem to offer a risk of triggering AF, I hope those affected have the briefest possible episodes. I prefer to get my vax advice from those who have spent their professional lives working in virology and medicine.

I think there is space for vaccine and alternatives living together giving doctors and more importantly patients choice. We need to avoid this polarisation theme. There is no room for silencing science and debate. Personally, I am so glad this forum has posted vaccine issues arising giving me the confidence to look elsewhere for answers & avoid potential big health issues.

Does that include Professor Luc Montagnier who won the Nobel Prize for his work on HIV but is now being derided as mad and senile because of his views on the vaccines? Or the umpteen other virologists , molecular biologists, geneticists and doctors who express similar reservations but never get space in a bought and paid for mainstream media? Here in France there have been investigations by independent journalists into the conflicts of interest of the virologists and other docs who get interviewed on TV to hammer out the vaccinalist message. Surprise ,surprise lots of money from Pharma . Same for the members of our equivalent of SAGE.

I’m afraid this post inclines me to discount other advice you may offer Auriculaire. I avidly read a spectrum, I worked in areas where research had to be weighed, and on balance know who I trust. My main source is an academic department with no reliance on “Big Pharma”. It is also an evolving field. That this thread has triggered someone to say that 9/11 was a deliberate act by the US indicates how easily conspiracy theories get aired.

Please answer my point about Prof Montagnier and other scientists who are not toeing the party line. As you say this is an evolving field. What are your views on the Pfizer biodistribution data that were obtained by Canadian researchers from the Japanese health authorities? Or the experiments( post vaccine roll out ) that have purified the spike protein and injected it into lab animals and found that it is the spike protein itself that is causing many of the covid pathologies like hypercoagubility - which are also being found as adverse vaccine reactions? Raised d dimer levels? Given this recent discovery is it really such a good idea to turn our bodies into production factories for the spike protein? Or would it not be a better idea to promote a more conventional vaccine - there are some completing their Phase 3 trials .These are questions that need to be discussed but are actually being swept under the carpet.

Thank you Belinda- it is going very slowly this time . I suspect because of the cerclage cable round my femur which I did not have the last time. I have found a blog of a lady in Reno who had both hips replaced with a cerclage cable on one and had a lot of problems with the recovery. The nurse has just been to remove the final staples from the wound. 3 minutes of torture but fine now. I see my surgeon next Tues so he will hopefully be able to give me more info about how long my recovery will be.

I ended up in a and e 2 weeks following 2nd jab. Didn't give it any thought at all until seeing that the new info given out warns about myocarditis and pericarditis that can come on 2 weeks post 2nd jab.I've had AF for 17 years, managed it well, and first time in 17 years that I've ended up in a and e.
Nurses declined to give me 3rd/ booster dose but suggested I have it done in a more controlled environment with a doctor present.
Had cardioversion 3 weeks ago but not successful so trying again but generally doing better now. The intense symptoms lasted quite a while before settling though and did required meds. First time in about 12 years.

What is the point of getting a booster of the same vaccine which is based on the original Wuhan spike proteins when you have already had problems with your original vaccination ? As far as transmission is concerned it will be just as ineffective against the Delta variant as the original 2 jabs turned out to be. Most people are unaware that the clinical data presented to the FDA to "justify" a third shot was based on 23 people! How long is it going to last? They are already talking about a fourth shot in Israel.
Well one response is that having had covid last year and being extremely unwell from that, it's a balance. The other answer is that I work in the NHS and I have a duty of care to others who I'm trying to keep safe.
Since you have had covid last year and then been vaccinated your immunity will be far superior to a vaccinated only person. The latest data from Israel which was one of the first countries to vaccinate widely are showing this quite clearly. Given the fact that the vaccines are not preventing transmission ( Dr Fauci and CDC in America came out quite clearly and said that with Delta the viral charge in the nasopharynx of the vaccinated was just as great as in the unvaccinated ) the protecting others argument does not hold water.
I really don't want to get into a generic and/ or politicised vaccine or no vaccine debate. I was responding to someone who it seemed to me was asking a genuine question about whether anyone had experienced problems following the vaccine. I offered my experience within the context of a forum that is based on sharing personal accounts. Self report is a key aspect of research whether cardiology or virology. Hence the validity of yellow carding experiences.
I might also add that the duty of care principle is far wider and more complex than you suggest, including employment rights and responsibilities.
And I hope my original post was helpful in relation to the original question.
Well you also have a duty of care to yourself and having ended up in a&e after your 2nd jab I would have thought that the possibility of risking your health further with a booster might lead you to question the necessity for it . As for employment rights and responsibilities are you implying that you will be pressured into having a booster in spite of your previous experience? If so that is unacceptable.

I would be interested to know which vaccine you had. I had the AZ with no side effects at all. Interestingly enough I had quite a few episodes of Afib before the jab and then my heart went all quiet after I had it! I was expecting it to worsen the Afib. That's what makes it Paroxysmal I suppose 😂

Moderna has just been suspended in Denmark and Sweden for those under 30and 18 respectively on account of the heart issues it is causing the young. In Israel their Minsitry of Health investigated the high level of heart issues in the young following the Pfizer jab and found it increased myocarditis in those aged 16-30 between 5 and 25 times the normal background rate. Make sure you see your doctor and advise of what has happened and ask for it to be documented on the yellow card system which is an early warning indicator. I hope you get better soon.

We just have Pfizer here but your right about young people predominately male who may contract myocarditis very rare though in my country and I'm way out of that age group

The second jab I had, had no effects on my AF, which is asymptomatic. Neither did it affect my asthma, drop foot, or lymphoedema.
A couple of days after my second jab I had a very frightening episode of AF with much more severe symptoms than I had ever experienced before. It resulted in an ambulance blue light trip to A&E and took several hours to resolve. A couple of weeks later another ambulance trip for the same thing. Thankfully things have calmed down. However I do feel anxious about any boosters that may be offered and am considering getting an antibody test (even if I have to pay for it) because if I already have some protection I may avoid further jabs.
Antibodies always wane with time both after natural infection and vaccination. But they do not really give a proper picture of immunity. What is more important is B and T cell immunity. The people who got the original SARS had B and T cell immunity 17 years later despite lack of antibodies. The cellular immunity has a memory and springs into action to make more antibodies. They say that the vaccines provoke cellular immunity.
My AF occurs with infections or injections. I've had PAF for 20 years but recently in Persistant AF. Flu and Covid injections always put it into AF. I had a chest infection about 2 years ago, wasn't too bad but heart went in to AF. Told that flu or Covid will cause my heart to go into AF anyway. I'm waiting for my Covid Booster and Flu!

doctors recommend for those unvaccinated or those who get covid, to keep the vitamin D levels at about 55-57 ng/mL.
the only way to determine your current level is by doing a 25-hydroxy vitamin D blood test.
the reference values are:
deficit : ≤ 20 ng/mL
insuficient: 21-29 ng/mL
optim: 30-55.5 ng/mL
don't exceed 100 ng/mL (that's toxicity)
do a test, then if needed to increase your vitamin D level, take some supplements or eat some food rich in vitamin D, repeat the test and so on until the right level is reached. after that maintain.
note that in the winter most probably you'll need to increase your daily dose of vitamin D due to lack of sun but never exceed 10 000 UI/daily
disclaimer: vitamin D can help but don't expect it do to miracles
Two more studies have recently come out showing the correlation between low vit D levels and having a greater chance of catching covid in the first place and then having a bad case.

Just catching up - sorry you have had an AF reaction, has it calmed down now? I have been very lucky having had three jabs with nothing more than a sore shoulder for a couple of days.
Yes it was fine! Booster jab yesterday and all well, no reaction at all , lovely staff, well ventilated place. Very pleased as I have my first indoor artistic event in two weeks - opera!
Luckily most of us can recognize misinformation and disinformation and can live without fear.
Had no problem with covid jabs, had flu jab last Wednesday and got sore throat and a high temperature just back to normal today, had 5 previous flu jabs with with no issues, nurse told me I could have pneumonia jab at same time as the flu, glad I deferred til a later date.

I had a really bad experience when I had my second dose of AF. 6 hours after the vaccination I started to feel shivery and 'fluey' so went to bed. I had a horrible sensation like an electric shock and pain in every part of my body . I went into AF, couldn't moved and wonder at the fact that for once the AF didn't make me want to pee. After 6 hours I was able to crawl out of bed to get a drink and some paracetamol.
The AF went away after some hours but I then had 9 days of strange episodes of high and low blood pressure /feeling faint / ectopics/ breathlessness and erratic heart beats caught on my Kardia.
I guess I should really have gone to hospital but am reluctant to do that for a number of reasons so sat it out.
I reported my experience on the Yellow Card scheme.
I am having my booster on Thursday so hoping I don't have a repeat performance. I think I am having the PB vaccine this time.
It will all be worth it to reduce the chance of my getting severe Covid.

The symptoms you describe resemble those of long haul covid.Interestingly, after dismissing long haul covid as vaccine side effects, they now started to believe that there might be a connection because the antibodies may interact with the ACE2 receptors.

I had my 2 jabs way back in December and January of 2020 and 2021 and had AF episodes after each one. I then had a decent break till June and have been ill with AF on and off ever since then. I just had the flu jab and yes had an attack after and now am called for a Covid booster. After reading these posts I am at a loss as to how to proceed. 🤫
Hi reinaway 🙂 as described above my reaction to the second dose of vaccination was extremely unpleasant but lasted a few hours with some disturbance for 9 days during which I was able to function. Compare that with possibly weeks on a ventilator with C19 unable to move struggling to breath and staring at the ceiling maybe even death . I know which I prefer the decision to have the booster is easy for me.
My asthmatic niece who was doubly vaccinated early on and due to have her booster caught C19 recently and was very ill in hospital on a ventilator, she said it was a terrifying experience like a never ending asthma attack . Now home she is covered from head to foot in a Covid rash , it is the disease 'that just keeps giving'.

Hi, fairgo45. I'm on diltiazem, too, but have only had one AF trip to the hospital so far.
I've received both doses of the Moderna vaccine and even a booster despite not being old enough to qualify. The final shot gave me particularly unpleasant flu symptoms, but none of the shots affected my AF.

One thing that people reading this thread should know:
I got my booster on the day before the Biden admin pulled access to allow for more testing, so I received a full third dose of the Moderna rather than a half dose. My post-booster reaction was probably worse than than someone who receives the currently administered dosage should expect.

Fair go 45.I was fine ( with a history of few PAC’s about three years ago) when I made the mistake of getting my first Moderna vaccine in March.. After 12 hours my heart gave a thud and ectopic began. First PVC’s and now, Since September a-fib.
I believe there are many such cases but we have yet to hear of them. I reported it.
Some folks report their a-fib went away after the vaccine “ start” ; I am not in that fortunate group.

Docs won’t admit to Jab/a-fib connection but when you experience it as do many others it’s time to be believed even if evidence is anecdotal.
One doc said “ what if the jab wasn’t the cause?
You should get boosted because COVID worse than A-fib”
I’ve just survived Omnicron ( I know I may have fared worse with Delta, but who knows?!
All I know now is I’m trying to live the best I can with P a-fib.

Thanks yes it does seems to be a factor Here in New Zealand the vacations seem to affect a lot of AF sufferers but as someone pointed out its better than getting covid.
How do you feel now a few months after the vaccine ?Do you have more symptomatic episodes or the episodes have returned to as they were before the jab ?
