surgery and Flecainide

I am having surgery for breast calcifications and am worried about taking Flecainide and bisoprolol before surgery . I have not been advised to stop them before surgery

,Has anyone had experience of taking any before having surgery

What is your worry? Neither is an anticoagulant so should not be an issue. One presumes that your surgical team have a list of all medication that you take so will (have) advise(d) accordingly?

I have had breast surgery and only had to stop apixaban before. I’m not on bisoprolol but am on Flecainide. You should have or will be advised at your pre op. If not then ask for your own reassurance. Hope all goes well.

When I had surgery last year I spoke to the anaesthetist prior and opted to take a flecainide before in case I went into AF during the op; he was quite happy with this approach, and in the event I was fine.

Only take advice from the Drs. performing your operation they will have a full list of your meds. as to what to take and what not.
