Does anyone have experience or reservations about Covid vaccines and AF? I've had 2 Astrazeneca doses, followed by a Moderna booster. Now, I'm eligible for a fourth dose, plus my flu jab, but I've have heard anecdotally that a second Moderna dose might not be so good for AF patients. The side effect from all three was a sore arm for 24 hours. I have no recollection of either vaccine triggering an AF event. Do I seek Pfizer or Novavax? It's difficult, isn't it, as all vaccines are still experimental? The roll-out and availability of options was poorly handled at first in Australia. I sense that many GPs were and are still short-changed on clear advice to pass on to patients. My cardiologist's view is: 'Go for Novavax if available or choose Pfizer or Moderna, as they are similar.

Which jab next?
Hi Mel
For me personally Pfizer was fine and no side effects. That's just me and we are all different. However that's the one I would go for if I need another booster.

According to my card the fourth was Spikevax which I've never heard of but my Son's OH who is a nurse says is Moderna.
I've had 2 astrazeneca,1 Cominarty (Pfizer), and 1 Moderna, no short term probs with any of them. Who knows down the line.
I’ve only had 3 so far two Pfizer and 1 Moderna and no problems at all. Waiting on my 4th not sure what it will be but would get it whatever.
Two AZ and two Pfeizer. Oh and Covid!
So difficult as so much comment and hidden data out there and consequently placing trust requires hours and hours of reading and luck. I am not medically trained but have some doubts over the 'old' vaccines e.g. Pfizer. If I was choosing, I would do more checking on the newer ones based on more tried and tested preparation means; I think Novavax is one of them.
With AF in the past and with an overriding concern that I didn't wish to 'wake the baby' I have not had any vaccines relying instead on Vit C, Vit D, Zinc & other recommended supplements & prophylactics.
