Hi all

I’ve posted a couple of times re having Covid and if it brought on anyone’s AFib. An update- AFib kicked in on Saturday afternoon and kept going. After a visit to doc then A and E it turned out not to be AFib but sinus tachycardia probably due to Covid. I’ll probably have it for a while but it showed me that just because your tests are eventually negative that it actually isn’t over and it’s not just a sore throat. Up and about today after first negative test. Take care.

I am currently feeling really poorly with full blown flu, not covid according to lft. My heart has been troubled with many ectopic beats during this time and been thrown into afib too. The virus has really knocked my whole system including my heart off balance.

Bad enough having flu without the heart joining in the mayhem too. Heaven knows how long this will go on. Been like this since Saturday and showing no signs of much improvement so far. Heart most unhappy.

Hello,Hope you begin to pick up soon. Apparently the heart can do this when illness is present but since being diagnosed with AF seven years ago, I guess I'm a bit super sensitive when things go wrong.

Did you test for Covid more than once? I tested negative when symptoms first appeared?

I did. Felt throat scratchy on the Sunday but test was negative. Monday afternoon coughed a couple of times and test was positive.

So sorry to hear that meadfoot. Be careful though, every single person I know who has had covid didn’t get a positive LFT until at least day 5 of symptoms. I think it depends on the viral load as to whether or not the LFT reacts.

So how many days between testing positive to testing negative? First day of symptoms & I tested negative was 10 days ago .Next day faintest of red lines.Symptoms mainly gone today but tickly cough.Tested positive today really strong line.Hope you go back to Nsr soon when it gets out of your system.I was only tachy first day or so but I am in Persistent AF anyway.

Night after my 2nd booster, woke up at 1AM with sore arm and Afib. Reverted to NSR in ~1 hour. Coincidence? Hmmmm, maybe not?

Hi jd. I didn’t have afib until about march 2021. I had covid in January 21 and my 1st covid jab in February 31 and always wondered if it was related. Asked the GP and they didn’t know of a link.
