No personal experience as I have avoided it so far and have had four jabs but from what we read here it often triggers AF even for people who didn't have it before but in most cases this goes once the virus has passed.

that’s exactly what happened to me

I had covid six months ago. I’d had three jabs and barely knew I was ill. I had no afib during it.

I’ve had 3 jabs but had covid early part of this year. Afib behaved and didn’t visit. Luckily covid was only mild, more like a cold, feeling under the weather and slightly achy. Didnt test negative until 14th day.

had Omicron for 10 days and like having flu.Only had to go to bed for 1/2 day.I am in Persistent AF .When Paroxsysmal flu would cause episode. But we are all different.

I had Covid over the Easter weekend 2022 after 3 jabs. My AF went from paroxysmal to persistent after my third jab so make of that what you will. I had very few symptoms bar a day of aches and sleeping all day and a throat that felt like I’d chewed glass ( easily tempered by gargling dissolvable aspirin). Then the fatigue set in and that was dramatic - 5-7 days of complete wipe out. I tested positive for 13 days but felt ok after 8 though had a half day relapse to fatigue on day 11. My AF was the same all the way through as in I didn’t really notice it.

Hi

Thank you for asking.

I'm one to know beforehand and be prepared.

No Covid or flu but I have ready McCoys Dark Grape Juice.

I had a scare as a CONTACT but tested on 3rd and 7th day Negative. No symptoms.

I've had 2 boosters = 4 jabs of NZ solution.

I have heard that even an unrelated operation can bring AF on those never had it before.

I live in the UK and am Paroxymal AFib, had all my Covid vaccinations- my 4th one this week.

At the end of April I contracted Covid, it was like a bad cold for 2-3 days then took another 10 days to test negative on 2 consecutive days.

It made no difference to my AFib.

Have covid right now. It's awful, I had flu once, but this is worse. First night before I tested, I went into Afib, but reckon that was due to feeling so anxious that I had covid. Took extra meds, stopped after 5 hours or so. Thankfully it's not returned, now day 6 and feeling very lousy, but no AF.

Felt rough for a few days but soon recovered. AF was not a problem really while I had Covid. Just rest up and take it easy. I'd had 3 jabs when I contracted Covid. I'm 78 and very active.

All the best.

I had covid in January. It did not bother my heart. I did not take any cold type meds either. Certain cold meds will bother my heart. I had covid mildly and doctor prescribed meds. Fever only 1 1/2 days, worked from home the whole time. No jabs with my heart sesnsitivities. Flu jabs bother me so no to those either. I take meds and supplements only that I can tolerate.

I had Covid in the first "round" of it in late 2020 which exacerbated my a-fib to no end, and eventually led me to have my second (RF) ablation in April 2021.

I've had all shots and booster and have had covid twice. Second time wasn't as bad as the first.

covid in january this year really kicked off my afib ... from having just occasional episodes hardly noticable to 3 - 4 a week very sympyomatic. Meds didnt work so eventually went for ablation 2 weeks ago. Vaccines seemed to exacerbate prior to catching covid, and I 've decided I wont be having my 4th (booster)

I had Covid in March. At first I just thought I had a bug or a cold it wasn’t dramatic. I had a few days of body ache. The cough was the worst part and the exhaustion. I wouldn’t say it was any worse with a fib than it was when I had the flu without a fib. I do think we get a much lighter case compared to the deadly one that first hit people. Of course remember we are all different both with a fib and even the flu or in this case Covid
