My husband had a pacemaker fitted on Wednesday this week. Came home last night with discharge papers on which it says a CRT-D was fitted yet on his GP records I see it says ICD was fitted. I’m rather concerned these statements are conflicting. Any ideas anyone please?

It sounds like a re-synchronising pacemaker (CRT) with a defibrilator built in.CRT-D. So bot pacemaker and ICD.
I’m sorry I don’t quite understand bot pacemaker and ICD?
Both pacemaker and ICD in one device. Sorry finger trouble. Google CRT-D for more.
Oh yes of course silly me! I know what you mean, thanks. I did Google it so I know of it. Just wondered why on GP record it just says ICD. Hubby speaking to HF nurse on Friday so will ask her. Thanks again.
I thought ICD just means implanted cardiac device.
