OK deep breath. This is process, just that. You will be fine. This will give you a normal life span. It's all good. Just process, get through it step by step.

Yeah, it's a lot to process. I think I'd be eating a lot of chocolate or napping or whatever ... def treat yourself to something and try not to think about it until it gets a little more manageable in your head ...

Please don't be scared, although it it not surprising. there really is not a problem, I had mine (pacemaker and defibrillator) put in under local anaesthetic (and was pretty woozy throughout). It was fine, a day in hospital afterwards and now it is monitored at a distance with a machine at the side of my bed.

Truly I have had no problems and have the reassurance that I shouldn't be having any more cardiac arrests and being blue lighted to hospital again. Going round the scanner at airports rather than through them is never a problem either. I'm just really well no restrictions on what I do, exercise etc.

good luck

Penny

Read up about it on the AF website. As you understand more, your uncertainties, doubts and questions which are the basis of your fear, will either disappear or crystallize into actual questions to which you can seek answers. It is the great unknown which is so scary . . .

This isn't the end of life - It is the beginning of a new phase, and there is still a great future ahead of you, albeit a little different from what you expected, perhaps.
