MARINE COLLAGEN AND EDOXABAN ANTICOAGULANY

Good morning on a sunny clear frosty day. Does anyone have experience of using marine collagen while on an anticoagulant? I have osteoarthritis but had to stop helpful supplements such as fish oil and glucosamine and chondroitin when I began taking Edoxaban. Certainly the fish oil with high Omega 3 was out of the question. I have searched the internet snd it seems Marine collagen has no Omega 3. Pain specialist wasn’t up on anything except the pharmaceuticals. Thank you for any comments or experience you may have.

I use collagen and I'm on warfarin. In the past I've used strong fish oils, etc, but without effect. I test my INR regularly and the collagen, fish oils, etc have not had an effect. I'm not sure of the efficacy of collagen. From what I read, it might have an effect. However as it is relatively cheap so even if the effect is small, I think it's worth it.

I'm not sure about the DOACs. You have to be a lot more careful with those with those as you can't check whether they are under/over performing like you can with warfarin.
