Writing again on my procedure. I,m out 5 weeks and started to feel slightly better. I have had some good days energy wise but last night I went into tachycardia and some hard flips. Needles to say it freaked me out! I told myself to calm down and took some deep breaths and worked on the vagus nerve. Plus took a whole metropolol. Today I feel just like I did when I came home from the hospital after the procedure. Mentally..it has put a damper on me. Don't really get support from husband so I'm fighting this alone. Has anyone gone through this during recovery?

Hi mlp.

I’m 14/15 weeks out from cryoablation and still getting weird happenings from my heart. Just started tapering off my pills now as well so that’s thrown another spanner in the works 🤣 you will get all sorts happening until your heart settles down.

Just try to go with it and not worry too much about every little different thing. Easier said than done I know but take it from someone who’s done it all himself.

Unless you have trouble breathing or bad chest pain etc then I’d try not too worry too much, you will get there in the end . If in doubt try calling your arrhythmia nurse to settle the nerves.

Your heart is healing and that process will not be a linear one or atleast wasn’t for me if that’s any consultation.

I don’t have the link available but I’m sure someone will share the fact sheets with you. Read them as well if you haven’t already as they cover quite a few scenarios.

Good luck 👍👍

Thank You. Did your heart race also and try to afib?

No problem.

Yes my Heart has done all sorts. Bouts of ectopics where I felt I couldn’t breath for a few seconds, brief bouts of racing, constant aching for days on end that comes and goes, I went into afib on week 13. Just a few examples but everything in between also. It’s been keeping me on my toes put it that way 🤣

The most frustrating one by far was going into af week 13 after feeling shattered for the 2 days prior. But hasn’t happened since and I’ve started tapering off my meds this week so hopefully will get better from here 🤞 the annoying bit really was that I felt I had started to turn the corner and get some energy back the 2 weeks prior 😫

Ive been getting bloating for the last 2 evenings which I was sure was going to put me into af but didn’t, which im rather chuffed about 😁👍 but last night I played with kids for literally 5/10 minutes and I was shattered and had to go to bed early as well 👎

The most important thing to remember is that recovery is not linear, atleast for me anyway. If like me, you will be up down and all over the place. Just try to trust in the fact that you will get there in the end.

Good luck 👍
