Anyone have an adverse reaction to bug bites since being on an anticoagulant. If you had a Covid vaccination did you also notice any adverse reactions to bug bites. I’m trying to understand why I’m reacting the way I am.

Bug bite reaction
I just love the idea of killing the blighters with my warfarin blood. lol 😁
Interesting question . I had 3 horsefly bites 1 year ago that still keep flaring up and drive me nuts. Had not thought about any connection to Apixiban though.
I had horse bite flares recurring for many years - every time I got a new one the old ones would flare. That was way back - 50 years ago and long before I was on any meds.
Meds and vaccines make no difference, you either react or not. Should see the mozzie bite reaction and a sand fly bite put me in hospital when 14.
It’s your immune reaction.
I was told that surface bleeding / surface level wounds unlikely to be much affected by Apixaban and that is true for me. I have always reacted to insect bites, carry around the hydrocortisone. I can’t imagine how the vaccine would affect them? I know sensitivity can change with age. Good luck managing them!
I have become severely irritated by bites too. I get huge blisters, and they seem to die down, then flare up again days later. I had my second vax on Tuesday, that evening I had a swollen face and trout pout lips, and last night woke up in AFib. I’m telling myself I must have a very strong immune system.....😉😣
I take Antihistemine one per day permanently, as like you I get adverse effects to bites and pollen. It's something I've developed later on life. Worth a try.
I had an awful reaction to a tiny bite I hadn't noticed last summer. This put me in the ER with an awful urticaria and AF. I thought it was just me!
