Waiting for my daughter to pick me up and take me for my INR blood test. Just got over the sickness bug, which I caught of her😊 . Woke up up at 4 this morning with AF. Does anyone know how a bug like that effects the INR reading. Hope it hasn't gone up the creek again. Blessings to you all.

Very much depends on bug, your body, whether you were sick or had diahorrea, etc. Just make sure you tell them on your form and also make sure that your next appointment is in 1 or 2 weeks time.
If you weren't sick in the first three or four hours after taking warfarin then less likely to have had an effect of reducing INR but more likely to have increased due to reduced food and fluid intake.
Was sick for 4 hours took my warfarine later than normal and hoped for the best. But as you say obviously not eating properly, nor the next day. Have to wait and see what the results are this afternoon.
Had my results 2.9 next test in 14 days. Still in AF. Not funny as my husband has now got the bug, and my legs feel like a tonne of weight. Still trying to help him as best I can 😳
None, just been told if I feel sick clamme dizzy or short of breath to phone for help. Not ideal, it usually last about 20 to 24 hours. My blood pressure machine just says error, when I try to take it. Husband is settled with plenty of water, I will relax reading. This web site has tought me more than any help I have had from any doctors. Last time I happened to be at the surgery when in AF, the doctor took a ECG for his records. And that was that. The nurse panicked a bit when she saw the reading, but doctor said, they were aware of the findings. And two different cardiologist said not to pannick as I am on the right medication. End of.
