Old style Kardia - changing battery

I have a Kardia from 2013 with the half rounded terminals - how does one change the battery in this version? There seem to be some parts which look correct, but I don't want to banjax it. Thanks.

Did that FJ and looked in the handbook. None refer to the shape of my Kardia which has no door in the back nor any obvious hiding place for a battery. The plastic sides do look as if they come apart but that would be the last resort!

Isn’t there a round black plastic cover on the back behind where you stick two fingers (if you pardon the expression) 😳

Sorry, you’ve already got this link

No cover FJ which is what is confusing me. It looks as if the seams come apart - I think I'll contact Kardia with photos tomorrow.

Good luck!

Thank you Ph - mine looks different but it may be possible to slide it somehow.

Not as old as mine. Given to me by Dr Dave when he came over here about 12 years ago.

Talking of Kardia I see they are advsertising on TV at the moment with emphasis on detecting AF and preventing stroke. Can't remember what programme I was watching but we tend to record everything we want to watch on Sky Plus and then binge a day or two later.

I saw that too Bob and think it was channel 5. x

I still have one from 2013 and the battery cover is on the underside. It’s the slightly oval shape in the middle with a tiny screw. Unscrew that and you’ll see the battery. Hope that helps. x

Thanks Frances, everyone is saying the same thing so I had another look. The underside of mine is flat with no opening or screw but as I have never attached to a phone, I think I am not looking at the bottom of the device. Some sliding might work . . .

Hi Finvola, please find attached the link to the manufacturers website for reference: alivecor.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

You may be looking at the smooth back which the old models used with 3M adhesive strip to attach unit to the back of the phone. Pop (force) this off and you’ll see the true back of the unit with the battery portal. Take this off. Takes a CR2016 battery.
