I have a battery-powered arm-cuff BP monitor from Boots. Does anyone know whether this will become less accurate as the battery runs down?

Is the battery flat?

Not less accurate but less likely to give a reading as the cuff will cut out or keep re filling until it actually gets the right pressure.
I have a Boots one and if the batteries are running low it won't inflate. Never had any incorrect readings.
Have you tried a new battery? That seems a rather obvious thing, so you likely have. If the battery isn't powerful enough, the inflation will be slower, I would guess but as for accuracy, I don't know.

Mine worked fine and accurate the battery lasts ages, and it will suddenly not pump up if battery is goung......
Hi George.Mines an Omron make. Mine has to go back to Omron every two years to be recalibrated (£30 for accuracy.). Something to consider?
I have a cuff. If the battery is low- it would not function and show error. Put new batteries in. For the last 5 years it's been in the drawer and instead I have used an Omron arm cuff which is more accurate. It's wise to get it checked at times. I used to do this at the GP surgery against their machine. Impossible nowadays as you cannot walk into a GP surgery to take a BP reading.
Any electronic device especially medical devices are built to give accurate readings until the voltage falls below the regulated voltage. It would then give an "error" display.
WHO would not pass any blood pressure monitor that does not do that.
