those batteries come in different thicknesses. There's three or four, same battery but thinner. You'll have to get a thinner one.

thank you. It’s not thickness of the battery, it’s the two little sticky out bits that won’t click back in, and I don’t want to force too hard and break something!

I have to put mine in the holder that should attach to the back of your phone, in order for the batteries to stay in, even though I don’t attach it to the phone. Does that make any sense? X

yes, but I don’t have a holder. It still works, when I hold it even without it clipped in properly. I just don’t know how much pressure is needed to push it back in! X

That is not the same as my old orginal Kardia but surely those two tags hook in first and the other side then pushes in?

not according to the Kardia zen desk video instructions 🤣 x

I had the same problem yesterday. Do the exact opposite of what BobD said. Single tag in first, where it would be nearest to the corner then the two tags will click in.

Tilly,

The Kardia video showing changing the battery on the 1L device doesn't give the final "click" soundeffect ... however the video below gives the sound of that final "click", and this reveals it's quite a forceful push to get the cover back in place. Glad I've got a 6L.

I'm sure you've done it by now.

nope, not done it yet 🤣 and to top it all off, I mixed the two batteries up and don’t know which is the new and which is the old 🤣🤣🤣🤣 x

PS. the new one will be the one that works !!!!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 the old one hadn’t stopped working was just giving me readings with artefacts - either that or it’s showing flutter! Battery is about 5 years old. X

Yes, I was just joking.

I suppose I should now add "the new one will (hopefully) be the one without the artifacts" !!!!! or artefacts if you prefer.

I had the same trouble. It’s a design fault. After many attempts and losing the Will to live I got it back in. Just keep trying.
