K2 is helpful in the absorption of D3 & Calcium ensuring calcium is absorbed by bones and preventing calcification of blood vessels which is obviously not good. Prescription strength Calcium supplements have K2 included.

thanks, K2 of 120 mcg and 8000 IU D3 is enough daily?

I would have thought more than enough. I take 90mcg of K2 and 800IU of D3 p.d. in the winter. I'm outside quite a lot throughout the year so I reckon I get sufficient D3 in the summer naturally but I continue the K2. K2 is particularly good if you're on warfarin as it can help stabilise your INR.

It all depends what your levels are; have you been tested? There is another extremely long very interesting thread and a few of us have been trying to up our levels.

Hi Pearipile, do you mean 8000 or 800?

I rely on what I think is a reliable supplier and they do a VitD3/K2 combined supplement.

Same here. I use the combined oral spray and it works! My vitamin D levels have gone up from 40.7 nmol/l to 118.8 nmol/l after six months of using it. I’m so grateful to the forum, particularly a knowledgeable member or two who has pointed me in the right direction. It’s so interesting, think I’ve become a bit obsessed by vitamin D and all it’s benefits 😊

I take about 400mg calcium supplement a day as I don't eat a lot of dairy and 100mg K2. I take vitD but cannot say how much in terms of cholecalciferol as I take Calcifediol and don't know how to convert it.

thanks to those who answered, I did not do a D3 test, I will do it next month, but I am convinced that I have a big deficit..I took 10 days and the ectopic ones also disappeared insomnia.

very true, after a few days of loading with D3 I started to have bad palpitations with a fast pulse again and I lowered the dose to 3000 IU./day.

I come back to announce that I was extremely sick after taking d3 for about 15 days, I thought I was dying: tachycardia, arrhythmia, panic attack, all caused by too much d3.Taken in excess can be deadly.D3 is also found in rodent poison, you know?.!

in reply toPearipile-55

I think folk think if D3 is good for us, the more the merrier. I am sticking to a very moderate supplement, I am wary of too much, it stores in our tissues.
