Hi people hope your all well on the Sunny morning. Since starting Tildium my Asthma has declined. I’ve mentioned to GP who seems less bothered. So plan Stopping them so I can breath and my swollen ankles go down. Opinion please . I see Cardiio on Tuesday so not to long to Waite but this is making me feel so ill

I have a similar problem sometimes but my GP suspects heart failure and I am to report symptoms ASAP. As your GP is not helpful I should call 111 or go straight to A&E if you are struggling to breathe. Just checked previous posts and you are also taking a beta blocker which doesn’t help asthma although the best one for it. Repeat above advice x 2 💜

Hi thank you for your reply. I have had trouble with most of the meds I’ve been on seems I’m allergic to beta blockers. So changed to the calcium blocker. And Apixaban having read the info on both seems neither are advised for asthma patients. The GP has messed about with blockers but wouldn’t change the anticoagulant so I’m assuming I have the symptoms from the manufacture. Breathless. Cough. Etc. As I mentioned I have Cardiology on Tuesday at 11:00 so hopefully someone who knows what talking about. I’ve discovered that the cardiologist is an electro cardiologist. After 3 months of feeling ill hope there’s a bit of relief in sight.

Had a echocardiogram no HF so far. Spoken to 111 today Nice Dr says it’s a mixture of Tildium and Apixaban both are Asthma irritants advised to take one Tildium 90mg a day until Tuesday, but stay on the Apixaban and every other thing I take for asthma. Good luck with your symptoms hope you well soon

I took 200mg modified release daily, of diltiazem as rate control when I was on flecainide. I am not asthmatic, but I did get breathlessness. My breathing if I walked up stairs always seemed to be a minute behind by oxygen requirement but only noticed as I began panting. I had other side effects also but only got swollen ankles once quite early on in my relationship with it.

You do not mention your dosage, but I always felt I was over prescribed and needed less of a dose, I briefly tried 120mg rather than 200mg, but when my AFIB broke through (owing to me forgetting to take a flecainide) and my Hr went to 165 resting , the hospital cardiologists decided to put me back to 200mg so I was less likely to need to go to hospital with high heart rate. It was probably a waste of time as my exercise max HR was only four or five bpm higher on 120mg as 200mg. However I was LESS BREATHLESS on 120mg than 200mg so perhaps a reduction is something you could try if you have to stop on Tildiem?

Hi quick update after seeing Cardiologist. He promptly removed every thing the GP had proscribed. Now on Digoxn and Amiodarone pre cardio conversion in two weeks. I was told that in my case Tildium was conradictive and made things worse.
