I live in the UK where there are companies who specialise in Medical Travel Insurance and it’s no problem but you just pay a little more.
My cousin lives in a Toronto and travels back to UK aged 75 after quadruple bypass and I’m pretty sure - with insurance. I’ll ask her & if I get a reply let you know.
I can only speak for the UK where it is possible to get travel insurance for pre-existing conditions relating to the heart including AF but not unsurprisingly, it costs more.
My cousin came back to me - she now also has arrythmias- she says she uses Blue Cross.
I am currently on hols in Maderia with my 86 year old husband - 2 weeks cover for both of us declaring 6 conditions between us was £180.
I think it’s important to carry on living your life as normally as you can.
