Hello I had ablation surgery in July 2018. I'm having pain in my groin off and on for months now. When that pain hit me omg I cannot walk or sit forget about sleeping. It sooooo bad in my groin that i couldn't move my leg. I went to see my arrhythmia doctor who done my surgery he sent me for a sonogram he said it didn't show anything. I don't believe him. I'm trying to get a MRI now. This pain is not joke. I really need to know what's causing this pain.

Groin pain after ablation surgery
I don't recall anyone else posting about pain so long after an ablation. I hope they are able to find out what is going on.
good luck
Thinking about an infection - is there any visible inflammation in the area?
The other possibility might be adhesions... but I think you would only get them while you are moving.
I had adhesions after an open cholecystectomy. I cannot remember the details of the pain, but it was quickly fixed with physiotherapy.
I've had pain in my groin since my ablation nearly two years ago. So much so that when standing from a sitting position I cannot walk without excruciating pain. After a few steps this subsides. Having spoken to my GP and scan showing nothing I'm no wiser what's causing it as it not getting any better. So who knows!
It could be totally unrelated, are you doing any exercise that could cause tight hip flexors like cycling or running?
I had groin pain from walking - when I was extending my stride after being a power-chair user for half a decade.
I had an ablation May 2018, and I also still have groin pains. What I found out is that the cath team that did it used the xl catheters for my procedure and I also had to the perclose sutures on my left and right groin in my arteries. My ablation was 7 1/2 hrs! They sent me to a neurologist and I was told that I have some nerve damage in my groin (both sides) from the ablation,so that maybe what's wrong with your groin as well. I am now on gabapentin for the nerve damage, but other than that my ablation was a success!!
Having the same pain experience after ablation nearly three months ago. It's been on and off, but the shooting pain was so frequent last night it kept me awake all night. From what I've read so far, it sounds like it's probably caused by some nerve damage during the procedure. Since I don't know what, if any, the treatment for this is, it concerns me because it is not a minor annoyance, but real pain. I will contact my surgeon's office to see if they have any answers, but if anything has worked for others, would appreciate info.
