Two Ablations in and the beast is back, emailed EP saying I want to get back on my meds. Been a tough few days as it was brewing. Just watching the TV and bam. Had worse but nevertheless its back. Amioderone after 4 months off it seems to have totally drained. I've been on a decline for around a month but took a step up over last two days.
God loves a trier eh?

I just looked back at that previous Post of yours when you took all that crap when you posted about a Dr Wolf minimaze video. You would think Forum members could find enough compassion to be more supportive rather than censorial.
And I really do hope you can now find a way to pursue this minimaze option, if appropriate, although I do appreciate you are currently heavily invested in current NHS approved treatments. From a distance though, it does seem to me that an increasing number of patients are able to pursue a similar procedure within the NHS, if you can't afford the Dr Ohtsuka option.
I do hope you can find a more positive way forward.
I'm at the 9 weeks stage post my second touch up RF ablation. In the last month, I've had a couple of episodes where I have awoken at early hours of the morning feeling uncomfortable, and have caught myself with a rapid heartbeat (approx 90). Last night it happened at 2:05am. I'm not sure however if it was tachycardia with a run of ectopics, or whether it was AF. Both times I've jumped out of bed and returned to NSR within a minute or two of pacing around the house. I'm still on 2.5mg Bisoprolol. I was advised to stop the daily Flecainide (100mg) at 4 weeks post ablation. First episode occurred about 6 days following stopping of Flec, so I resumed the Flec. Last night was 8 days after stopping the Flec at 8 weeks post ablation.
So I think I may be in a similar position to you (I'm 52 years old). I'm unsure if the 2nd ablation has been a success or not. I'm due for my 3 month post ablation appointment with the EP next month. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is AF or run of ectopics as it is short lived, and feels different to what I have experienced pre ablation. Both times have been accompanied with bloating due to something I have eaten.
I’m so sorry to hear…. Your Afib and your solutions are yours to guess! Follow your instincts - i know they can become muted with time- but dig down again! I know the disappointment the return brings.
Keep trying, it took Several for me to have found a solution- and as we know it can be only in « remission ». Yet, I am now in my 11th month of remission!
Sorry to hear, I had my third cardiac ablation 13 months ago and it's holding with no AF at the moment. However my first one lasted 10 months as we were in lockdown. The second one did not work at all. I felt really disappointed and despondent. As I'm very symptomatic I decided to try a third time. I'm really pleased I did. At the moment I'm doing most things I need to, not back to long distance hilly walks! I also have been told they won't do it a fourth time and I'll probably end up with a pacemaker. Yet one day last week I walked 9 miles!Hope you are able to find a solution and have a long remission from it. What I'm trying to say is never give up hope
