what cold medication can i have when i am already taking Eliquis and and Sotatol

I steer clear of over the counter medications and stick to honey send lemon in hot water to sooth a sore throat and paracetamol for the aches and pains.

Nothing with ibuprofen or similar NSAIDs. No cough meds either as most will upset the heart.

Nothing with ephedrine or pseudo-ephedrine. These are related to adrenaline. This is a real nuisance since they can be quite effective. I am told that mucolyics are fine, though I would like to double check that.

Drink plenty. Gargle a bit when you drink, instead of scratching your throat by various means. I keep a bottle of water next to me, day and night.
