Just to remind you that Nosh and Natter is going ahead this coming Saturday at our usual location which is EV Cafe, Isabella Street Waterloo (right behind Southwark station)
I will be there from around 12:30 until the last person gets fed up and goes home, and it's open to everyone irrespective of medical conditions
For those who have not been before, it's simply a social get together of people from the forum, and others all of whom usually share an AF diagnosis, we vary from persistent like me, to ablated and not had an episode for ages, and newly diagnosed.
Irrespective, the coffee is excellent, the freshly squeezed Orange Juice even better, and the Turkish salads are enough to turn a hardened carnivore vegetarian.
Come and join us we seldom bite, and I can promise you an excellent few hours.
Be well
Ian

I am in London at the weekend, not sure of timings yet. Do you have to book for a set number in advance? Hopefully I will be able to make it. It would be good to put a face to all the regular posters!
Hello - I would like to come to this - my first - Nosh and Natter so will be catching the train up to Waterloo on Saturday - really looking forward to meeting fellow AF-ers.
The only thing that might deter me is the weather - I believe the "beast from the East" is returning at the weekend so snow could scupper the trains - it doesn't take much!
Not too much coffee I hope , or has someone got a defibrillator 🤣🤣🤣 I can drink booze and eat what I want, but still can’t bring myself to drink coffee yet 🤣 hope you all have a good one👌🏻
Well firstly it's huge, and I mean huge like so many Chinese cities, I think 25 million people, but surprisingly it's full of parks and green areas and not the urban blight one sees in older cities. However although much is new, the original city is very old and especially around the port area some wonderful buildings. Boat trip by night essential, as is Canton Tower. I didn't do all the touristy bits as I was content to just meet people and talk. Rermember Google doesn't work in China so for communications use WeChat, download it to your phone before you go. It will translate for you as well.
Food of course is amazing, and just sit and talk to people, on WeChat you have a "people nearby" feature, try posting in English and see what happens, you will discover serendipity in public places.
Unfortunately I cant come to this one as I am on last minute babysitting duties as my son and daughter in law run the Newport half marathon ( rescheduled because of the snow).
I know you will all have a great time and I can recommend the Baklava for dessert....yum.
