That's it the grandkids are back at school, the traffic is back to it's usual standstill early morning and late afternoon, the sun disappears earlier in the evening, and you are shaking the moths out of the autumnal clothing.

Well Nil Desperandum......

Come and join us at EV Cafe at Isabella Street London for an afternoon filled with fun frolics and some great salads and coffee. Or is you wish a freshly squeezed orange juice and some heavenly baklava (Yes I know but it's Soooooo delicious)

We meet around 1pm, and we stay until our jaws ache from noshing or nattering. Come and join us, we don't bite (well maybe one of us but we can get him a muzzle)

Website is here

tasrestaurants.co.uk/ev-cafe

Look out for the green AFA Flags we will drape across a table, or just look lost and one of us will come up and introduce ourselves.

You never know we might tempt Bob D up from the boondocks one day :)

Any problems, fears or just nerves message me

Be well

Ian

Ablation due on the 31 Aug and someone told me I mustn't do anything for the first week and not much more for the second so probably wont make it this time...…..aren't you the lucky one!!!

Good luck with the ablation John, and this time remember to wear gentlemens underwear, the laughter last time put them off a lot, and the video is still going round :)

We will miss you

Be well

All being well I will be there. How on earth will we manage without John.

Best of luck with the ablation Flapjack.

These gatherings, in my view, are worth going to for the food alone though I have very much enjoyed meeting everyone at all the ones I've been to. We have had some interesting discussions and it surprises me that there are not more of us attending.

If I can get there from Cumbria, and it's a 500 mile round trip, I don't think distance alone is an excuse. A total lack of cheap train tickets (I think I travelled one way to the first one I went to for £8.50) prevents me this time and I'm really sorry I'll not be there.

As long as our train isn't cancelled and our hotel hasn't been overbooked I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on the day.

Thanks again for organising these lovely lunches, Ian. Flapjack, your banter will be much missed but all the best for the 31st.

Planning on being there but have to bring OH as my eyes, as I am in between cataract ops. Plus back in AF 2 days ago after 3 1/2 years of SR!

I have recently moved down to London from Stafford and after reading all the wonderful posts from everyone for over two years would love to come on Saturday for the nosh and natter if that is still ok. It would be great to meet some kindred spirits in this strange AF world! See you there and thanks to Ian for organising it. Penny
