I started taking magnesium citrate and feel energetic and sleep really sound now. I have PAF and although I'm not sure on the effect it is having on my heart as I am in the middle of changing meds due to side effects but definitely feel better since taking it.

I take it - without it I get terrible cramps in my legs first thing in the morning. I saw the programme too, very interesting - thank you for the link.

Counter indicated if taking anything for high blood pressure. Bisoprolol is used also for high blood pressure, indeed I think that is it's more common usage rather than suppressing AF. Should we be taking both?

As soon as I was diagnosed with AF my Cardiologist recommended 400 MG daily. I have kept this supplementation up for 5 years.

How much has it helped your AF and what other benefits have you had from it ? Which version are you taking?

Don't notice any of the benefits of taking 400mg daily. Just hope it helps in some fashion since it was recommended for AF.

Dr Sanjay Gupta recommends Magnesium Taurate are there any comparitive studies or advantages/ disadvantages. I know the magnesium debate rumbles on. Why is it contraindicated in hypertension?
