Blood in mucus

hey im 23 years old! I woke up and blood was in my throat when i hacked up! It has been several hours now. I am still haven it come up in red color. It went from dark brownish this morning and now it small amounts of like a reddish color. Can someone help me. my throat is a lil sore now!

I had this went to doc had chest X-ray ECG nothing showed up so he thinks I burst a small blood vessel but please go get checked out

You need to get advice from a doctor. The blood could be from anywhere. Do you get nosebleeds as the blood could be the residue from that? We could go on guessing forever but the best thing is to seek advice from your doctor who will know where to look and what to do.

are you on blood thinners if so you can get a bit blood around the throat first thing in the morning then after cleaning teeth all gone if not see the doc

David, don't leave this any longer. I really think you need to get advice from your cardiologist if you have one or your GP. It is probably something completely innocuous but need medical advice. Please let us know how you get on.
