Thanks Jeanjeanie,Meadfoot and Bob

Sitting with now obligatory glass of water, you were right I needed hydrating, faint and dizzy spells gone hope it lasts.

I thought I was drinking as usual but as I am resting most of time (and dozing)my usual routine is obviously different and I did not take account of that.

Back in the positive mode so onward and upwards. JANE

Well done Jane. We often forget to drink water and many other drinks are actually counter productive.

Hi BobD , apologies if you've covered this elsewhere, but do you know why AF suffers seem to be more dehydrated than others, or at least more susceptible to AF when mildly dehydrated?

Most people are dehydrated most of the time I think in today's world. Tea. coffee beer etc all make things worse. Add in the fact that we AF ers pee a lot due to the enzyme that tells the body to lose salt when the heart is distressed and you have a recipe for disaster. Only my personal view of course.

Thanks. I'm trying to work out my triggers. I drink (water) like a fish so I think dehydration would be unlikely, but I wonder if that, plus too little sleep could push me over the edge.

You have AF therefore you will get AF. Triggers not needed but stress and illness make events more likely.

Thanks for this info. My AF abates if I have a bag of crisps or something - now I know why!
