Does anyone, e.g. Finvola , know if there's a Northern Ireland support group in place, or indeed any other members of this group who reside in this neck of the woods?

Northern Ireland support group?
When I first joined, I asked Admin about a group but, although there had been one in the past, it had closed down. Starting one seemed to be too daunting a task and I didn't follow it up.
I also live in NI (Co. Down) and would need really interested in a support group here. Finvola was there much interest previously?? I have an EP appt in Feb... Might ask about this. We don't even have arrhythmia nurses in NI to my knowledge
Hello Vony . There is a team of heart failure nurses in Causeway Hospital and I currently attend meetings with one of them once a fortnight. They phone me in the interim periods if they need to, (results of blood tests etc), and I have the comfort of knowing that I can call them anytime if I have concerns. Consultants frequently tell me that they are more informed and knowledgeable than any other health care workers in the hospital, or than GPS, in my particular problems. They are supported by the British Heart Foundation.
Cheers, Barbara
Vony, I don't know how much interest there was in the previous group or even if it got off the ground. There seem to be very few NI dwellers on this forum but I think NI has a substantial population of people suffering Heart rhythm disturbances.
What I found surprising is that I have never seen a poster or leaflet referring to heart rhythm in clinic or hospital. I assume that BHF is the catch all for heart problems but, I agree, it would be a big step forward to have a 'rhythm section'.
