Does anyone know if it's OK to take echinacea. I usually take it if I have a cold, which I do at the moment

If you have any auto-immune disease and take immune-suppressants and there are a few medications that have contra-indications - always indicated on the leaflet. I can't remember which, just I know I have read warnings on a few meds I have been prescribed.

Not sure what it is not suitable for but in many herbal books Echinacea is one of the best herbs for supporting the immune system and we could all do with that ! Check with your local pharmacist.

Personally I take homeopathic echinacea which has the same good effect as the herbal remedy and is not contraindicated.
