Echinacea

After a few weeks of sniffles and sneezes I've now got a full blown cold and cough. This morning my throat is sore so have taken some echinacea drops in some water when I got up and have used the throat spray twice.

My heart has been doing some interesting ectopics all dst and now have an horrendous headache.

Is this the echinacea??

Took my BP which is also raised a little bit. And my hr is up but about 15 bpm, also short of breath a little though that might be due to the cold going onto my chest

Just wondering, any ideas??

My heart always goes haywire when I get a virus. I no longer take Echinacea, although I did for many years and hardly ever got a cold.

Hope you feel better soon.

Did you take it all of the time when you did? I seem to of had several colds this winter but before this I can't even remember when I last had a cold or even a hint of one

Blame the virus not the echinacea. I use the pills as soon as I think "cold" and never had any bad effects.

I didn't know you could get pills. I think I would find that more palatable. Thank you

But the tincture is much more efficacious.

Ok 😊 then I shall continue with that (and "man" up) lol

Well they are gel capules actually so doubtles contain tincture. Never felt the need to pop one open myself. Come in a variety of sizes./strengths.

I am never too sure though about the gel capsule.

If they work then they work. I always start taking as soon as I think there may be a cold lurking and mostly that never materialises. Only had one cold in the last 18 months or so and that one crept up on me whilst away. Holland and Barrett are what I have in presently but Healthspan used to be my preferred .

Whatever works - I have had a few bad experiences with supplements in gel capsules which is why I avoid but then I am a rather precious type☺️😉

I'll continue with what I have, then see what takes my fancy. Lol. Not keen on the taste though the throat spray is OK
