When I was on it I took it at night because it made me to tired if I took it daytime.

I was originally prescribed Bisoprolol (5mg) in Jan 2010 when my paroxysmal AF was first diagnosed. I was told to take it in the morning with other morning meds, usually, after breakfast.

However, this caused massive random nose bleeds during the day. No warning just a bleed.

Because I had been put on Warfarin on the same day - everyone blamed Warfarin. I knew, just intuitively, that it wasn't Warfarin. I went to my GP and did some table thumping, she in turn got out her book of Witches Magic potions and brews ..... then said take it at night. I did this and haven't had a nose bleed or for that matter any other issues ever since. Perfect. I take it with my other evening meds at 8 pm - as I've always done so.

No problems now, no worries. I might add, that I never ever suffered from tiredness, and still don't. Because I hold a PCV (bus) drivers licence ( and still drive part time) and am over 70 I have to have an annual medical. DVLA are aware of all my medication and my AF, thank goodness. I did suffer breathlessness for a few weeks when I first went on Bisoprolol but that was only a passing thing, does not exist today.

After nearly 10 years all my meds are the same doses now as they were when first prescribed.
