I'll second that. Very helpful and informative .I gave it to my father to read as he's just been diagnosed with AF. My mother had AF as well - I wonder how I came to have it !!!!

It's good to hear people like it- we were fortunate that Jo jerome asked us, ( Eileen and I-) to give the patient input on it as it was very interesting and I know I learned a lot as we had some very good clinicians to work with.

I think the section on diet and exercise is very good - hadn't seen this set out before- also the idea of records and a diary, so we can take details needed to our next appointments, is good.

Rosy, I really do agree with that. I keep saying how important it is to keep a diary to record dates, attacks, medication changes etc. I give my doctors a photocopy of my diary and they seem to like it. I have a ( tatty ) foolscap sheet showing ablation date, medication, bp etc. Y ou cannot possibly remember all these things. Now I've been given a proper diary in a very posh case.

I was amazed at the quality of it all.

My grateful thanks also. It would have been so helpful to have been given one of these packs when newly diagnosed and with that in mind I intend to show it to the nurse who does the INR's at my surgery.

Lizzily the surgery can request in bulk- I asked for 100 for our support group- so do pass the word around

I have read all about the AF care pack and went on the site and think I have ordered mine. When I get it I will see if my surgery would like a bulk order, is it all free? Sounds so good. Eileen.

Yes, it's free. It's an expensive thing to produce, obviously. I'm sure that you will impressed and glad to have one.

Best wishes.

Thanks Rosy, will do. It really is a great resource. I'll wave my pack under everyone's noses at my surgery and take it from there.

Kind regards, Liz
