Past few days have been suffering from severe knee pains also not too dissimilar to shin strip pains down front of legs. Seen GP and put me on painkillers Zapain unfortunately not helping. Am on Pradaxa 150mg bid also Amiodarone 100 mg. could it be medication, circulation that will be causing me great discomfort??

Sounds more like a combination of athritis in knees and sciatica. I have both so sympathise.

Could be postural? as when my hip goes out of line my shin splints (very fine muscles in the shins) tighten to compensate and become very painful. Massage of the fascia is painful but clears the tightness and pain disappears. I find doctors are not good on skeletal muscle stuff, their only answer seems to be painkillers which only give you more problems in the long run.
I too have painful knees and legs, think it is anno domini
I have very painful and swollen lower legs due to poor circulation causing fluid retention (oedema). Water tablets can help. Not sure about the knees though....
Phew stayed at a friends Friday and Saturday and my goodness what pain - the legs and knees have been. First thing in the morning on the phone to GP for follow up appointment. A lot of the pain seems to be created when lying down in bed with legs stretched

I have pains in both calf's especially after walking and sometimes my legs go to lead!
GP's x 2 are nonplussed by the leg problem. Physically fit and healthy, back ok as are limbs. So off for a blood test have now been put on to Tramadol 50mg every 4hrs. GP was wondering if it could be the Amiodarone - been on it too long- possibly 4yrs, if so could be seeing EP pretty shortly.
