Ok.. anyone who has had an ablation: I had an ablation a week ago. Everything going fine until last night. I have a pain in my left breast. I have had it off and on for a day. I also have indigestion, so I am curious as to whether of not it's just gas trapped under my rib cage.
Has anyone else had these pains?? I don't want to panic, but forcing burps is not alleviating the pain. The pain is not " severe", so I have hesitated calling the EP..
I need some sdvice😿😿

Yes, I had it along with gastric problems. Acid reflux etc for many months but it eventually went away.
Inevitably the ablation will have caused irritation to nerves, especially vagus nerve and phrenic nerve and a lot of inflammation. Mine were a dull, achy pain - occasionally sharp that made me catch my breath but only ever momentarily so.
If you are at all unsure or uncomfortable about the cause you should ring your GP or Arrythmia nurse or the number your u were given at discharge and have a chat with one of your medical team.
Thank you for your reply... I am giving it another day!! Then, I will call the doctor. You are right; a dull ache and then a sharp twinge. It coincides with the gas that is built up in my stomach....
Yes, I had this several days after my first or second ablation. It came on suddenly after I'd decided to take the electric blanket off of my bed (Got out of bed to do it as I thought I could feel the wires sticking in my back). Pain shot through my chest and at the time I wondered if I was having a heart attack, but it eased off. Next morning I rang my GP who said, just put it down to an odd experience and let me know if it happens again, that was years ago and you know I've been fine ever since.
I'd say the wise thing to do is to never ignore chest pain and get some medical reassurance that all is well.
I'm 9 weeks post 2nd ablation now and I'm getting the same gastric symptoms as CDreamer was. I went to see my GP who prescribed omeprazole. This worked immediately and now symptoms have subsided. Feeling great.
I don't think it is serious, I had the same pain I think it's Gass since I was NPO the night before myou procedure and after I didn't eathink after 4 about 4 hour after.but if you continue to feel the pain you should call the doctor better safe than sorry, all the best.
