I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation 10 months ago. Does anyone else have pains in their shoulder blades ?

Shoulder pains
I've only tended to have pain in that area after Cardioversion or Ablation
Pain between the shoulders can be oesphageal inflammation which can be allied to AF via the vagus nerve.
Yes, actually for me when I have pain in the upper back that my signal I am in Afib
Yes, I get that two. Mentioned it to my cardiologist, who seemed surprised.
Thank you all for your replies, good to know that I am not the only one.
My first episode (which was one of the worst I have had) I wasn't sure if I had slept really awkwardly as I had pain in my chest and in my upper back. It wasn't severe enough for me to think I was having a heart attack but it certainly wasn't comfortable. I was diagnosed that day by my GP.
Yep,had it really bad one day & more of a nagging ache that won't go away,I walked about 3 miles & had to keep stopping & twisting my body to ease the pain, finally gone away now I'm on amioderone before my cardioversion
Yes! My mother has afib and often complains about back pain during and after an episode. She mentioned this to her doctors, but they didn’t have a clue and offered no suggestions. She has to lay down afterwards because the pain bothers her so much.
I had pain between the shoulder blades on many occasions. But even when not on afib ( I had PAF), however I did not have it until I was diagnosed AF so I always thought it was connected. However my EP disagreed and said it was skeletal muscular probably. Mine was not oesophagal because at its worst I had to lie down to relieve the pain and it readuced much in severity
Funny thing is since a week or two After I had my ablation I have not had the pain ...........
