How quickly have you seen improvement in pain from pluvicto after infusions if it is to be? My dad received his first infusion last week and I am just curious about others experiences with potential pain relief. He continues with severe pain to mets in lower spine. Thank you.

There may be a pain flare due to inflammation before it gets better.

Very individual.

Thanks. I am wondering why they did not offer steroids for this. Maybe we should ask or try NSAIDS as the opiates don't see to be doing much currently.

How quickly does a patient seen improvement in pain from pluvicto infusions?

AI - ChatGPT said:

Improvement in pain from Pluvicto (lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan) infusions varies by patient, but many experience relief within a few weeks to a couple of months after starting treatment. Some studies and patient reports suggest that pain reduction can begin as early as 4–6 weeks after the first dose, while others may see more gradual improvement over subsequent treatments.

Pluvicto is used for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and works by delivering targeted radiation to prostate cancer cells. Pain relief depends on factors such as tumor burden, response to treatment, and individual patient characteristics.

If pain persists or worsens, patients should discuss with their healthcare provider to adjust supportive care options. Would you like more details on clinical studies or patient experiences?

I had minimal pain going into Pluvicto tx and am vague on memory.

But speaking of flare I think if my pain going into it had been substantial maybe I would have had flare pain?

This is a layman's comparison but I had PSA flare with Pluvicto. Started at 340 PSA and after the first infusion my PSA was 840. If a brother had pain as well I wonder if it would have flared with the PSA flaring up. Anyway sorry I am wandering. Which is a little worse than wondering lol.

I completed my Pluvicto infusions 11 months ago and my PSA just keeps going down, down, down. At about 5 now.

Always appreciate the kids looking out for their dad's. I'm well taken care of in that regard too and have been able to live like a teenager at home lol.

Its kind, mature, responsible, loving. A lot of things.

❤️❤️❤️
