I’ve found a few references promoting, and even a trial or two regarding, the use of Pluvicto again after positive response.

Do any of you have any additional info?

I saw something on X recently from Philip Hoffman, of Peter Mac in Australia, reporting on a man who had received 20 sessions - maybe you could check it out.

I'm curious about this too - let me know if you learn anything.

Tinuriel: here’s on piece I found yesterday.

I’ve also seen articles about using Actinium -225. I’m still fuzzy on the options, but feel like I have enough to ask the onc about….

There are 2 versions of ACC-225. One works on PSMA protein, a newer works on HK2 protein. Gives opens when tumor is low PSMA expression. Its in trial.

I won’t use ‘X’, so am looking for other ways to get the info. Thanks very much!

Sorry it is Michael Hofman not Philip. I checked again on X to try and see if there was a trial I could link here but I couldn't find it this time. I am pretty terrible at IT types things!

Thanks! I just emailed him to get his thoughts on repeating Pluvicto..

Joe will have another PSMA PET scan this week. If he is expressing PSMA, we’ve been told we may go back to OSU for more Pluvicto!

I just finished 6 rounds of Pluvicto and had a very good response. My MO told me that insurance will not pay for additional treatments. Also, I’m not sure if more treatments will expose my body to too much radiation?

Thanks for your reply. I’ve seen where some insurance companies do allow additional infusions, son trying to build the case for that with data. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I did 3 infusions a few years ago. Had good response but not much longevity. I did another 5 infusions last year. Had to stop because I did not get any more positive response.

Thanks for your reply. Joe had 6 doses with minimal side effects and great tumor response. His PSA is rising each month, so no predict the onc will suggest some kind of action. I’ve see a few references doing more Pluvicto, so I’m trying to get enough info to share with the onc.

Your reply helps me: thank you.

I had a great response to a full 6 injections of Pluvicto in '23-'24. I was trying to get into an Actinium trial but didn't make it.

Since my PSA is rising I asked for another round. Medicare (traditional, NOT Advantage) has OK'd it and I start again on April 2.

I'll report here on my progress this time around, like I did the first time.

May I ask what state/country you’re in?

I live in Rochester, NY, USA. According to my RO, there have been others to receive a second round of Pluvicto at Roswell Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY. I am the first at Wilmont Cancer Center, URMC.

Thank you so much!! I’m trying to make the case so Joe’s onc will explore the option. So far all I’ve heard is he didn’t think it was possible.

Thanks again!

For Researching purposes, there are tons of posts here in our H.U. History file that refer to Pluvicto.

Not including Pluto, once considered the ninth planet, is now classified as a dwarf planet, located in the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune, and is the largest object in that region.

Also, not including one of Goofy's buddies....

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I started by searching on this site. It’s where I saw posts from 2 or 3 folks who had more than 6 doses: seeing those posts is what prompted my question for additional info!

I did five treatments in Germany in 2020 and enjoyed almost two years of undetectable PSA. did two more treatments in spring of 2024 and it knocked down my PSA for another couple of months. Here's a paper that looks at the benefits of rechallenge:

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/386...

It finds that a rechallenge is effective after a treatment break with a 31.3 month median survival after the first retreatment.

Joe is scheduled for a PSMA PET scan this Wednesday. If it lights up, OSU may be willing to do additional Pluvicto since Joe responded so well to it last time.

If not, his doc will give him Cabazitaxel.
