I wae diagnosed almost three years ago already in stage 5 it moved to couple spots in my bones Psa of 8500 first time checked
Started your normal routine of oral chemo, last one I was put on was standing. Now it's stopped working and cancer has spread to lymph nodes and other places. Doctors gave me six months, he told there was nothing else. Small doses of chemo but that wouldn't add much time and quality of life would suffer

my husband's Abiraterone had " chemotherapy drug " on the bottle, and was listed as that on his oncology treatment notes... I know it's not chemotherapy but interesting how it's labeled...also had directions to not handle the pills, flush twice after using the toilet etc
Very interesting, probably this is the reason why many say oral chemo, they read what is written in the instructions for use of the drug. I wonder why it is labeled this way and why it must be handled with all this care. Maybe even pills for other types of tumors are labeled this way, an acquaintance of mine took oral drugs and said they were oral chemo.
This issue came up on this forum several years ago. Zytiga, Xtandi, ADT, etc., are chemicals used as systemic therapy; they're just not traditional chemotherapy. I believe Medicare may use that term for my Lupron and possibly denosumab in the details of the EOBs, but I'd have to double-check.
There are only 4 stages.Stage 1 usually means that a cancer is small and contained within the organ it started in
Stage 2 usually means that the tumour is larger than in stage 1 but the cancer hasn't started to spread into the surrounding tissues. Sometimes stage 2 means that cancer cells have spread into lymph nodes close to the tumour. This depends on the particular type of cancer
Stage 3 usually means the cancer is larger. It may have started to spread into surrounding tissues and there are cancer cells in the lymph nodes nearby.
Stage 4 means the cancer has spread from where it started to another body organ. For example to the liver or lung. This is also called secondary or metastatic cancer
An exception is Wilms tumor, or nephroblastoma, a childhood cancer that originates in the kidneys. Stage 5 Wilms tumors are those that affect both kidneys.
From the research that I have done. Standard of care for stage 4 ( metastatic prostate cancer) is triple therapy. 6 to 8 chemo treatments plus 1st and 2nd generation ADT. If the oral ADT is not working there are more options to try. Get genetic testing done that will tell medical oncologist which treatment should work for you. There are several different ADT meds plus parp inhibitors. Please get 2nd opinion, don't give up keep fighting. You have many options still. Hope this helps
while doctors know a lot and depend on the body’s symptoms and reaction, only God will decide whenyou will go. My father in law was given 3-6 months to live and without further medication, he died almost2 years after, pain free at that. Hang in there, thereare new meds waiting for approval or trials.
hello from Germany, I have listened to a lot of speeches about prostate cancer lately. There are cancer patients which have been taken Fenben and Ivermectin, we’re there was no other option anymore. I think it’s worth a try, when people are dying, what can be lost?
I agree. I have those products here at home, unused at this time. I'm currently researching 'blood brain barrier '. A chemist, doctor or scientist I am not.
I think my OC told me that one of my meds it to aid this blood brain barrier, a good thing. Now somewhere, I read that Iverm can penetrant the BBB. So I'm still researching all of this. I go for my PET scan in a month. Then i will get an idea of the progression of my affliction. Perhaps i will begin my Iverm therepy at that time. In m .y research, I've learned that Iverm can have a tremendous impact against cancers. Food for thought.
My advice..try to consume Apricot seed minimum 5 - 10 pcs a day, adding Ivermectin and Artimisin with dose, Vit D3 10k iU + K2...eat healty food. Eat apple, berries, promeganate fruits etc..we have nothing to loose ..as long as the cenventional treatment is no longer work. God bless..
I agree! I was diagnosed at advanced aggressive stage 4b with PSA 796 and multiple bone Mets in pelvis, spine, ribs, and 1 leg. Told I had about 6 months if I didn’t do chemo. I declined chemo, started Lupron and casodex, drastically changed my diet, and started ivermectin. 2 years later changed from casodex to xtandi. I’m now almost 3 years into it and doing fine. PSA is 2. No further spread and last scans said my prostate appears normal. I’m on a modified Keto, gluten free, added sugar free, whole foods diet. I’m 56 years old.
Hi. I just got my PET scan results last night, and it seems I'm similar to your situation. The differences are I'm a few years older (59) and have only one Met detected so far (in the hip).
I was just wondering what provoked switching from Casodex to Xtandi last year, and what motivated adding Ivermectin to your regimen?
Also, you say your prostate appears normal now. Is that to say any lesion(s) and/or the overall volume have shrunk over time?
In any case, it's a huge bonus for me to hear you're doing fine today. You're my hero. I feel like changing my username to AlsoRobbingCancer.🙂
I got the words “prostate appears normal” straight from the lab report of the pelvic CT scan. I don’t have any issues urinating any more either. No difficulty and My urinary frequency and the urgency is now determined purely from the quantity of water I drink.
Casodex only works for an average of about 2 years. It had stopped working for me and my testosterone and PSA had started to rise. I chose Xtandi because it didn’t require me to take prednisone with it. Xtandi is also supposed to be effective for up to 7 years or more.
Hi there, I hope it's okay to ask this...how are you getting ivermectin? I know it's a contentious subject and I don't want to ruffle any feathers...🪶🥹. It's something my husband and I have been looking into but I know our MO or GP won't prescribe it (we live in the UK). So just curious...
I’m thinking that it’s time for an alternative therapy for prostate cancer group……there are clearly dozens of guys that are hell bent on describing,in detail, their dietary changes, supplement use and all manner of other approaches said to be of use in slowing the progression of PCA…..the problem is the VAST majority of the men in the advanced PCA forum are rather tired of revisiting these topics and would as soon see them disappear…..a forum that allowed and encouraged open discussion of untested treatments would be of benefit to both men who wish to discuss alternative treatments and those who would like NOT to be sidetracked every few weeks by members revisiting topics that have already been amply discussed. Don’t know how one would go about instituting such a forum but perhaps someone interested in this topic would care to look in to it.
After rereading my response I realized it was rather harsh and took liberties speaking about the feelings of other members of the forum…….i don’t know if the vast majority of members would as soon not hear more about alternative treatments……..I am speaking for myself and my “impressions” following this forum for several years……..
The thing you speak of is at its worst when a desperate spouse is looking for trials, treatments in light of being told spouse has no more options and maybe has had 5 blood transfusions in the last 2 months etc. Then someone replies "you should try Ivermectin".
Its very disheartening. Sad. I feel for them. I call it out if the spouse falls for it.
The end of life which in a way with a stage 4 diagnosis is kind of how life has been in the back of my mind come to think of it, is not the time to be putting hope on anything not much outside of medical science.
Go to the FB group…my cancer story.rocks. You will have to read something from Joe Tippens before you can join. Caution, there are many fake groups out there. If they try to sell you something it is a scam. The actual group started by Joe Tippens does not sell anything. It is based on fenben but many in the group add ivermectin. You can get the complete protocol that Joe used. I have been following for 2 years but have not used. Many of the members use the protocol and SOC and give credit for success to the protocol. And, just like here you regularly hear of fellow warriors dying. God bless
In Tennessee it’s available in some Pharmacies over the counter, we bought Fenbenzole on Amazon. Check out the videos from Dr Campbell, he provides data on this drugs.
Please don’t give up the fight I’m very sorry to read you’ve been diagnosed with this horrible disease,I’ve not long been diagnosed with incurable but treatable ALK Positive NSCLC,I also have Prostate Cancer which is under control thank god I’ve been on Lorlatinib since diagnosed in September without any problems but have chest infection at moment so having a break for a week, hang in there sending hugs as I know it’s not easy at times
hi, hang in there , have your MO try you on zytiga with orgovyx, most of all pray, live each day separately, don’t look forward or back live for the now. What about immunotherapy? I will pray for you……power of prayer is powerful. You’ll be ok…..
We wish you best. Are you confident of your doctors? I assume you have a skilled oncologist on the team. There is a big difference out there and having a doc “give up” doesn’t seem like the best level of care. It has been found late stage PCa is dependent on prolactin to replace T. It is off the beaten path but there has been some success using prolactin inhibitors once conventional treatments lose effectiveness.
there is a growing consensus that gut bacteria changes is the reason many fail on ADT. When a person starts adt and the testosterone drops the gut bacteria becomes off balance. Also prednisone can produce androgens similar to testosterone which will feed the cancer. This dysbiosis then leads to treatment failure.
My daughter has a friend with triple negative breast cancer and it progressed to the point that she decided to take one more chemo treatment just to see her son graduate. Ready to give up she decided to see a naturopathic doctor. After the normal stool and hair sample testing she was put on a protocol. My daughter told me that she has never seen her friend look better.
There is a lab at JHU that is devoted to the gut micrombe effect on diseases which is called the Karen Sfanos lab. The term gut/organ axis is the term used. For instance if you google gut brain axis you will find that folks with ibs ibd or cdiff are more likely to suffer from dimentia. You can also read where people with a certain type of bacteria respond poorly to adt.
My daughter’s friend was ready to give up but found a new path, I pray that you too will search and find a new path. God bless
I understand cancer cells need carbohydrate and glutamine to grow, take them away and they slow right down or die.
Carbs are not so difficult to limit, try a low-carb or keto diet, not so difficult to keep to, but glutamine is a different story.
It is the most abundant amino acid in our bodies, and therefore difficult to limit.
One way to reduce glutamine is exercise, muscles are hungry for it and it is reduced after working out, maybe that's why exercise is so important at improving cancer outcomes, I don't know what else to say except good luck....
We bought my husband a full body infra red heat mat (from Hooga Health though there are others of course) and it is very soothing. Supposed to also be beneficial if undergoing chemo or radiation. I like it too!!! We also try to go to a sauna weekly.
General fact check information for members who are concerned about Fenben and Ivermectin.

Years after some people falsely touted ivermectin as a supposed wonder drug to treat COVID-19, social media posts are claiming that the antiparasitic drug is a cure for cancer.
A Facebook post said that research “confirms the true nature of cancer is a parasite, hence why, Ivermectin, in conjunction with mebendazole, and (fenbendazole) is so effective. It targets the parasite, not the whole body, like in chemo.”
The post further stated that “cancer is a parasite: The cure, is an anti-parasitical.”
The post was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and Threads.)
Mebendazole and fenbendazole are both antiparasitic drugs, as is ivermectin.
The post is wrong about cancer and misleading about the drugs’ effectiveness in treating it. Cancer shares some properties with parasites, but it is not a parasite.
Cancer arises from cell mutations in a person’s body; it’s not a separate organism. These mutations are inherited, develop randomly, or are caused by a person’s environment. A parasite is a separate organism that lives on or in another host organism and derives nutrients from it.
Cancer shares most of its DNA with the person who has it, with some mutations. Parasites, like roundworms or tapeworms, have a completely different DNA from the host they enter.
Cancer and parasites both grow or reproduce by drawing resources from the host and can resist the host’s immune responses.
The post’s claim that ivermectin and other antiparasitics can “cure” cancer is also unproven. Neither the FDA nor the World Health Organization have approved ivermectin to treat cancer, but some studies have shown it can slow tumor growth in research settings.
The Facebook post linked to a study called “Ivermectin: a multifaceted drug with a potential beyond anti-parasitic therapy,” published in March in Cureus, an academic journal. The study refers to several other studies that have shown ivermectin may inhibit tumor growth.
But the Facebook post overstated the drug’s effectiveness. The study it linked to said “extensive in vivo (live) studies and clinical trials are crucial to translating preclinical observations into therapeutic benefits for humans,” and it cautioned against self-medicating with ivermectin.
Although some studies have shown ivermectin can slow tumor growth in research settings, it has not been extensively studied in humans. In studies, researchers have written that more research needs to be done about the drug’s potential role in cancer treatment, and exactly how it could inhibit cancer growth.
Whether the body could tolerate doses of the drug at a high enough level to work is a key question that researchers haven’t determined, one study said.
None of the studies involved testing the drug on humans, and the authors did not claim the drug should replace chemotherapy or other cancer treatment drugs.
“These studies are preclinical studies which means they have not gone through the thorough study and testing required to show that they are effective and safe in humans,” said Skyler Johnson, a radiation oncology professor at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute.
None of the available research, Johnson added, “supports the claim that Ivermectin is an effective treatment for cancer.”
Mebendazole and fenbendazole, the other drugs the post mentioned, have also exhibited anticancer properties in early research, but like ivermectin, have not been studied in humans.
We rate the claim that cancer is a parasite, and ivermectin can be used to treat it, False.
