Status of generic mirabegron?

Does anyone know what the status is of the release of Zydus mirabegron (myrbetriq)? AI (Gemini) states that it's availability in the US is being held up in litigation by Astellas!? That sucks because last year I switched from trospium to Myrbetriq and it comes from Astellas. So the generic I want is blocked in court and i'm buying it from the company that's stopping the generic!! Does anyone know if this can be had (legally) by ordering overseas?

There is a new bladder anti-spasmotic approved by the FDA last month called Gemtessa (vibegron).

Wow! No high blood pressure risks. Looks like a great improvement but I'm on Medicare (Kaiser) and there's no coverage or price break yet from the manufacturer. As it is, Myrbetriq is $200/100 days approx which is not real sustainable for me for the long run...

We traveled to Colombia for some dental work and found it for $20 for a box of 30 OTC and stocked up. Also had our son pick some up when he went on vacation to Cartegena. Airfare from Orlando is super cheap and between my wife's meds and mine we save a significant amount being medical tourists.

I just received a refill of mirabegron from my local pharmacy 3 weeks ago.

Yes but how much was it? My Medicare Part D was still $500 per month. We are supposed to have the $2k cap this year but I heard that is being recinded by the current administration along with a number of other medical RX cost saving measures that were enacted by the previous administration. So the $200 RT airfare to Colombia is still a bargain for us to purchase multiple expensive medications we take ($20 for 30 Myrbetriq)

It turns out that my Wellcare Part D plan does not have mirabegron on its formulary so it is not covered. My pharmacist gave it to me by mistake and I will be back to Myrbetriq this month.

As with most Part D plans, I have a $590 deductible which must first be covered. My monthly costs after that are $111 for the name brand drug.

I caution you not to believe everything you hear about the current administration. The $2,000 yearly max was part of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, passed by Congress. Only an act of Congress can rescind this and I believe it is very unlikely that either party wants to screw us seniors by voting for a bill that gets rid of this benefit for seniors.

All-Day Chemist has Mirago (active ingradient Mirabegron), 50 mg, $1/pill. I have used it for many years.

I bought Myrbetriq from Canadian Pharmacy and InHouse pharmacy (Vanuatu) for several years. This year I qualified for the $2000 (with M3P) cap and Myrbetriq is on my WellCare formulary, but not Gemtessa 😢, No problem. Picked up 100 25mg time release pills last week. Zero dollars.
