Hi guys, I had 6 sessions radiotherapy about 16 months ago, my psa at the beginning was 11, but latest blood test was 0.7, had many side effects, especially the hot sweats, mostly at night, putting on weight, but the last 4 weeks, my weeing is becoming more and more, but tbe pain, it's really painful, like passing razor blades, if you know what I mean! It does abit by drinking lots of water, but I don't know if I have an infection?
Thanks in advance,
Bill 🙂

Thanks for that, I went to try get an appointment with the GP, no chance!! went to the chemist earlier, was told they can't give pennuslim, or similar, only can for women! I did receive a sample bottle to take in tomorrow, I have pyridium here, but will try after my sample, do t want it looking like tango in the morning 😘Ps will look into AZO
My peeing and and pain whilst doing so varies day by day. Some times I need to take morphine for the pain, it is so intense. I have 13 mm of calcite at the bottom of my bladder as well as radiation cystitis and other horrors. This leads to incomplete bladder voiding and frequent UTIs. If I take methanamine twice daily with vitamin C I have far fewer UTIs.
When the pain reaches 8 out of 10 or more it usually indicates another UTI. If uring is cloudy and has blood in it this can indicate a UTI but there are many other causes of cloudy urine and blood in the urine. You have to have urinalysis to be sure. I have 7 way dip strips for UTIs and although not as reliable as a full urinalysis they can help you decide if you should get a urinalysis with culture in case you do need to treat with antibiotics.
The pain that feels like razor blades slicing your penis is really "referred" from deeper within, usually the bladder.
Today I can not void at all and need to self cath but there is no urinary pain, just everywhere else.
