Some of you have been following Scott's cycle trip around the perimeter of the United States while he was treated for advanced, metastatic prostate cancer. We are happy to report he finished. ESPN OTL did a nice piece summarizing the journey at the following link, hope it encourages and inspires you as it has others : youtube.com/watch?v=WS0KGNP...

Massive congratulations to the two of you. Very emotional video. What a great couple you are.
congratulations!!!! And thank you for showing us how to walk (or ride) fully through a cancer diagnosis.
I won’t be copying this magnificent feat, but you have motivated me to get out of this bed and do some yoga!!!!!
No Words - so humbling and inspirational! Please consider making your story into a more detailed video; I’m sure both the cycling and PCa communities would help share your story far and wide. Bless you both.
thank you. Actually several people have asked for a book or movie. We shall see, still recovering from the year on the road. :). Scott has been through radical prostatectomy, radiation, hormone deprivation therapy, chemotherapy ( docetaxel), more hormone therapy more radiation and with a rising PSA while on HDT we are discussing what comes next. that is the priority for now, and enjoying being home. But thank you so much! take care
That's a wonderful memorial to an impressive endeavor. Very impressive I would say being a cyclist and on ADT. I thought 6000 miles in a car was rough 🙂.Whats next?
thank you. Next is more and different treatment se we shall see, we are still recovering from the year on the road. :). Scott has been through radical prostatectomy, radiation, hormone deprivation therapy, chemotherapy ( docetaxel), more hormone therapy more radiation and with a rising PSA while on HDT we are discussing what comes next. that is the priority for now, and enjoying being home. He is signed up to do the gran fondo cyclist race in Mexico in November.... we shall see. But thank you so much! take care
Thank you so much for sharing this inspiring and amazing story! My husband and I have had a tough couple years with his stage 4 cancer and me developing Rhuematoid arthritis and scleroderma. He just gets up and works everyday and just keeps such a practical and hopeful attitude. I love what your husband said about living like you are dying. Guess that can have a negative or a positive meaning, and reminds me that it is a choice. You guys show us how to do it well with faith and joy and determination!
Where the rubber meets the road............Congrats....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
