PSA 139 @ DX1-2024 started Orgovyx and Nubeqa dropped PSA to 62.93.
Started Chemo
1st infusion..PSA 23.3
2nd infusion..PSA 11.26
3rd infusion.. PSA 7.45
Just got my labs back for the 3rd infusion. Just feel disappointed as I was hoping for a larger drop and seemed to have stalled out. Does it look like I'm responding good ,bad or otherwise? Or does this lack of drop after the third spell trouble?. If chemo doesn't get me where I need to be then I'd just assume have a better QOL while I have it and not waste time with feeling like a cow paddy. Thanks for any response.

As long as you are seeing an improvement and are able to bounce back after each infusion, I would say continue the chemo. If you are no longer seeing a lowering of your PSA and are getting weaker and weaker, then it’s time to have a frank discussion with your oncologist about your treatment. When I was following this board closely during my husband’s illness, I noticed that many of the long-time survivors here are vegan or vegetarian and lift weights. I wish more oncologists would stress the vital importance of diet and the right kind of exercise to maintain your strength and muscle against the double whammy of ADT and chemotherapy.
I wish you all the best, and hope you take the time to pursue quality in YOUR life regardless of your treatment decision.
Thank you kind person for taking the time out of your day with your encouraging words and insight. Reading your bio I am again reminded how this monster affects the wonderful people we call our spouses. Hoping you've found some peacefulness since your loss.
To Battle_on, I wish to apologize for missing the passing of your Dear Husband, Jack who left us on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2022. I indeed will raise a belated toast "to one of the kindest, most patient men we could ever hope to meet". Hopefully his wings fit by now...
