Been a while since I’ve posted on my progress ( or lack there of) Sitting in my chair watching the deer grazing in my woods when it’s -15 F with -30 wind chill and sun coming through the window it’s going to be a good day.
I finished my 4th chem infusion last week, PSA is 1.4 after starting at 15.8 . I’m finding the second time through chemo fairly easy and with cold cap have kept most of my hair. In 2019 I did six rounds of LU177, followed by SBRT to a rib and hip. I’m pleased with the results although I had hoped the LU 177 would have kept the beast at bay for a longer time.
I’ve also completed genetic testing and while not BRCA1 or 2 positive I do have the PIK3ca mutation which may give me some new options moving forward. Overall I feel good and my wonderful wife watches me like a hawk to make sure I don’t do something stupid. I have been stage for 4 for 3 years and have had my battles but today is going to be a good day.
I hope today’s battles are small and treatments make and impact. Strength to the warriors and care givers, and those who are suffering we are here for you
