My Primary Care doctor had switched me from Zocor (simvastatin) to Crestor because it does not cross the BB barrier and aggravate my seizure risk. I told her I was interested in Nubeqa because it also did not cross the BB barrier. I asked if I could stop taking Crestor if I was to take Nubeqa, because to me cancer control was more important than cholesterol control. She said that would be OK.
perhaps consider switching to Enzalutamide which has the opposite effect according to the drug interaction checker. Darolutamide increases Rosuvastatin absorption whereas Enzalutamide decreases Rosuvastatin absorption, according to the drug checker. I take Enzalutamide and Rosuvastatin with no problems.
I've been taking COLESEVELAM (Welchol) to lower my cholesterol for many many moons....I've also had Neuropathy in my feet and up to the middle of my legs for many many moons (before taking Welchol). I started taking Nubeqa in April last year (2023) and have NOT noticed any increase in my Neuropathy. Holy shit now I'm sounding like a doctor............ Hey Ana, make a bid on that used white coat that we saw on Ebay.
Are you not under the care of a medical oncologists??!! I was on Nubeqa for a year while taking the statin Lipitor and had no side effects at all. Good luck and talk to your medical team
