Good News Update on my Joe

This Friday Joe will get his 4th dose of Pluvicto.

His PSA dropped from 7.69 last month to 4.88 this month. He experiences fatigue, which is remedied by dexamethasone on the days he has something he wants to do. Otherwise, he sleeps. No other side effects worth mentioning at this time.

I asked for PSMA and FDG (?) PET scans, and was told there is no reason to do them. The docs (and Joe) are happy with the status.

On November 12 he turns 70! On November 20, Joe will have a surgery to inflate his lung and attach it to his chest wall, hopefully resuming enough lung capacity to come off oxygen and resume jogging, etc. We further hope it will help keep pneumonia at bay so he doesn’t have repeat bouts like he did in the past year.

He has added Simbacort to his regimen which seems to be helping a lot. In fact, he’s joined Planet Fitness and goes a few times each week. Progress!!!

This month marks 14 years since his diagnosis. What a long, strange trip it’s been!!!

So glad to have this forum of support! You all have helped me so much. Thank you!
