I'm posting this in case someone finds it helpful. The scans show visceral as well as bone mets. That plus a steep rise in his PSA and the start of chemo really soon have us in a sober state of mind. Continuing to lean on Jesus for strength.

Hello,
I am assuming your husband is on an Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) drug. What else is he taking?
Thanks.....your Google doc info may be helpful to some men here ! I've never tried to "save" a Google doc, but I will try to save yours!!
"Continuing to lean on Jesus for strength." Amen ! Research Bovine Lactoferrin , also ck out Ursolic acid, Artemisinin for PC. So many more out there. The first rule of medicine should be do no harm, so my opinion is if it does no harm and it may only help... why not ? God Bless
Yes, thank you for the Google doc. Valuable to have as we each continue our journey and can use this to add to add to or delete based on our situation.
My husband, prostate 150+ grams, had a simple prostatectomy (11 years of TRUS biopsies had been negative) in 2014. The possibility of RT was ruled out for him way back then. I wonder what the cutoff size is?
I doubt there is anything "simple" about a prostatectomy. 😊. I've not heard anything about size being a factor in determining RT. Perhaps others here know something.
I'm sorry. You must not be aware of the difference between simple prostatectomy and radical prostatectomy? Here's a copy/paste so that you'll know the difference. As opposed to radical prostatectomy, simple prostatectomy is not done to remove the gland entirely, but to remove tissue so as to relieve BPH. "What Is a Simple Prostatectomy?
Problems with urination can reduce your quality of life. Getting up in the night to urinate or having to urinate often can interfere with your daily activities. You may even get frequent infections or bladder stones. These are all symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or an enlarged prostate.
The prostate surrounds your urethra, the tube that carries urine from your bladder to your penis. Problems arise when the prostate gland becomes large enough to interfere with your urethra. If your prostate becomes very large, your doctor may recommend a surgery to remove the inner core of your prostate gland. This kind of surgery is called a simple prostatectomy."
The term is a medical term, not mine. Sometimes best to inform yourself before you ridicule someone? Said kindly.

Hi there, j-o-h-n! Yeah, I kinda wish our docs had better pedigrees. But when I compare what they tell us with what I'm learning about best care here in this forum, it lines up. When I ask about things I've read about here, they are open and have sometimes even pivoted. Bottom line, we trust them, they take time to hear us out, and seem to know about the latest advancements - plus they talk to each other, so it feels like we have a real team. Sonpavde actually participated in the BAT trials that were based at John Hopkins. It's working for us, and I'm grateful.
I guess I'll just have to say what my wife says to me....."Dear, if it floats your boat, then it must be a joke"..........(Best Wishes and I hope it keeps working for Mr. Tin).......God Bless
