Q&A from this week's visit with our MO

In case it's helpful, I've written up the questions we asked our medical oncologist this week and posted them in my bio. The upshot of it - my husband will get a PET PSMA scan in August, after which we'll chart a course for what comes next. We're eager to see what if any results occurred from the Ra223 treatments. Next would be docetaxel chemo (tho' we're looking at Pluvicto as well), probably starting in 3 months, or if the scan looks especially good, 6 months.

Enjoying the rest of our summer as he continues to feel well. Visiting friends and family in the Bay Area next week. Grateful and praying...

Here is a study of Pluvicto/Lu177 after Radium 223. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/340... It says:"Prior therapy with Ra-223 may have a positive impact on OS."

That matches our understanding that Ra223 wins us an extra 4 months on average. Hoping for better, but we'll take it!

My husband in at a similar point on this road. He had his last Cabazitaxal infusion last week and a teleconference with his oncologist at the same time. She scheduled him for PSMA Pet scan and other scans in August. Next course of treatment will be either Pluvicto or if not readily available, he’ll have Radium 223. It always feels good to have a plan

Yes, it always feels good to have a plan! Praying you get good results from whichever of those two treatments you end up pursuing.
