I just finished ten rounds of Docetaxel for stage 4 PC. At around the 8th cycle, I noticed my legs and ankles were swollen. Now that I’ve completed the chemo, the legs/ankles are still swollen and feel very tight and heavy. My thighs have also ballooned in size. I had an ultrasound to rule out blood clots. Has anyone experienced this and how long did it take for the swelling to subside? My MO recommended compression socks which I am trying.

I had this in one leg after some RT to the pelvic region. Blood clot ruled out so they said it's lymphedema. I just kept moving and raised my leg when lying down. A couple of months later it's still a bit swollen but nowhere near as much.
Hope this finds you doing better with your treatment. I had 18 week 6 treatments every 3 weeks of chemo. Followed by ADT (Eligard and Prolia Injections). Being former military I followed my doctors directions and began an exercise program along with the compression socks. My leg swelling is gone and now I’m working on the ˋChemo Belly´I have been successful so far in losing 30 of the 46 pounds I gained. I suggest you consult with your doctors on the exercise because everyone is different as to how much exercise you can tolerate. Good luck
