Pluvicto Supply

Hi All!Does anyone have any substantial information on Pluvicto supply in the U. S.?

My husband stopped Prednisone & Jevtana February 5th in anticipation of 1st dose of Pluvicto. U of Michigan Oncology says he had a "remarkable" response to Jevtana and waiting without any treatment is okay.

He's finally coming out of withdrawal and QOL has improved substantially but starting to worry about the wait time.

U of M said they'd call us last week for appointment for 1st dose and they did not. (We've already met with Nuclear Medicine and had scan)

They thought he could have his 1st dose near the beginning of June. However, I did a cursory search on Google and it looks like both the New Jersey AND Italy plant have shut down production. Headline was "Novartis voluntarily put production at the facility—and another one in Ivrea, Italy—on hold" in May 2023. Supply could resume in late 2023.

That's a scary headline... however, it was a 2-second search on Google.

Anybody know anything more substantial?

This is the true headline:

Last May, Novartis voluntarily put production at the facility—and another one in Ivrea, Italy—on hold after noticing potential quality issues. That halt interrupted supplies of both Lutathera and Pluvicto to the U.S.

That was May 2022

Italy is churning out, the NJ plant, last month received FDA approval to start.

How did I miss that!? I saw it was dated for 2023 & my paranoia took over. Thank you 'T'. ❤️

We sound like we have much in common. I too attend University of Michigan. I just received my first Pluvicto treatment last week. I’ve been battling this disease since 2010 and recently had my 43 rd chemo infusion before the start of Pluvicto. Feel free to contact me if you like.

43 treatments………were they all Docetaxel? I have had 16 of Docetaxel and tell me about your journey with that many infusions. Anemia was a side effect…….you too?

With great difficulty as to availability so far, I have had 3 doses. Each time I was given just 24 hours advance notice for having each treatment. I had to cancel a scheduled cruise in order to get my 1st one.

Now that the second location is FDA approved (Milburn NJ) and producing Pluvicto, scheduling has become easier, especially for first timers. My 4th treatment, after my rescheduled upcoming cruise June 1-10, will happen upon my return. A lot more scheduling flexibility than ever before.

I’m starting first pluvicto treatment in a week at Mayo Rochester. I asked about shortage reports and they told me “no problem”.
