Is it advisable to eat certain types of food with the Nubeqa, in order to reduce the chances of liver damage and/or blood cell problems like Neutropenia? If someone takes a couple tbsp of EVOO before drinking alcohol, it decreases liver toxicity and intoxication/drunkiness. Would something like this be advisable with Nubeqa, or would this just reduce the effectiveness of the Nubeqa. I know we are taking food to help absorbability of the Nubeqa, but it also, probably reduces toxic load on the liver. So should we be adding some healthy fat like EVOO, avocado etc, and how about slow cooked, unprocessed oatmeal to slow the rate of drug metabolism in the body? I don't think any tests have been done on this, but I'm curious from a theoretical standpoint. My AST was 32 and my ALT was 28 this week. I suppose that Lupron might lessen liver stress too, as opposed to Orgovyx.

While I was taking Nubeqa I posed that question to a pharmacist at Bayer, the manufacturer, and she just recommended to take with a meal 2x daily to maximize absorption, with no specific food groups recommended, and thought breakfast and dinner were best. Best to you
That sounds like an answer from a level one employee. It has to be breakfast and dinner. There are no other options really. The company didn’t test different types of foods for absorbtion and liver protection. We’ll just have to research other drugs that have been used for decades, and see what those long term findings show. Thanks Wags.
